Omnis Network ripoff Torrance California
I signed up for thier $6.95 a month webhosting plan which promised way more than it delivers. After finding that out the hard way I called tech support and asked if I could of run a simple small chatserver and his anwser was I could'nt run any binary exe's. So I Cancelled. He said my money would be refunded in 24 to 48 hours. This was May 29, 2006.
Today I called again. The website is www.omnis.com. You can see the 30 day money back guarentine if cancelled. He said I'd probably never see my money though he'd make a note on the account. He also noted thier was no cancellation and if you do a Dns search still shows active but if you log into the dns I signed up for it does show cancelled.
Basically all you get is a 3 page website sitebuilder which it does not mention forehand and over 14 gbs of space to store files to link to those or add email accounts. Whith which as the bandwidth your allowed forget the email accounts if you have heavy traffic. And alot of email accounts. Php was not there or the perl to support anything you might add along with any of the other features listed. If it sounds to good to be true then it probably is. And getting your refund with this company. Well he said it. You'll probably never see it again.
