How can you get a refund? As you see, the people are all gone. Folded up shop and set up a new scam in a different area. Who could you even sue? Many of the names you got are probably fake. What's left to sell? Worthless plastic cards? And, how can anybody stop the next victim from doing exactly what you did? There is always somebody who will believe whatever a stranger tells them. They'll willingly trade thousands of dollars for little plastic cards. Naturally, normal people won't fall for this nonsense. Anybody who had to work hard to save up the money won't feel comfortable trading it away for a box of plastic cards. Normal people are suspicious. They read of all the enrons. They aren't about to let some crook cheat them. It's the trusting. The people who live in their own little world. They never read the news. They ignore all the warnings about never trusting strangers. They figure the whole world is looking out for their safety. In this day and age, people like that are quite rare. But, there is always one. There is always someone who is dreaming about making easy money. Someone who believes in the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. So, how can anybody be expected to stop the next victim from throwing their money away? You did the best thing you could do. By reporting it here, others will have a chance to read about your loss. Most people already know this. But, maybe you'll reach one who was about to buy these phony cards. That's the best you can hope for!
