Onrebate.com's website refused to function properly with any of the web browsers that I tried (safari, firefox, ie) under os x. Specifically, the "purchase date" form refused text, and being a necessary entry, I was unable to continue. Naturally, I send a polite email, in plenty of time to gather a response and fill out the rebate forms, which only received a perfunctory response. Tigerdirect.com, where I purchased the item from, was equally useless. Their site advertises "Download rebate form now!", which has in small print, "This is for informational purposes only. To download your rebate form, go to orebate.com [their typo]". Last week I waited nearly an hour on the phone, waiting to get onrebate.com's customer service department, but eventually had to give up, as it was by that time, after their business hours. Trying again today, during my lunch hour, I was once again thwarted. After waiting for 45 min, I reached someone, who was absolutely useless and attempted to pin blame on tigerdirect, when clearly, it is onrebate's customer service and website which are the issues (I am in no way defending tigerdirect.com who employed shady practices in the first place with the "rebate form" download). Needless to say, because I had to work out some kinks with tigerdirect, the almost 2 weeks of fussing with onrebate.com have put me past the 30 days to file a rebate. What a crock. DO NOT USE TIGERDIRECT OR ONREBATE!!!
