Open Business Solutions Yellow Pages False Advertising Fax Scam Philidelphia Pennsylvania
Our Company recieved a call from "Yellow Pages" and they faxed us a form to update our listing. This form was branded well and looked legitimate with familiar logos. The listing they sent us was correct, but it was missing our suite number and had a couple of trailing numbers on our phone number. We corrected it and faxed it back. The person calling said this was a public listing at no cost to you. The original form that I corrected and faxed back had no place that it ledgibally stated that it was a contract or any that I will owe any money.
Months later we reveived a fax copy of my signature next to fine print saying that we will pay $91.58 a month and pre pay a year (1,099.00). A bill was also attached. This fax came from Open Business Solutions.
I called their "855" number and they all had foreign accents. They said "you entered into a contract with us" and would not let me cancel... I was obviously upset. They said they would email me a copy of the fax I sent to them. (Which I never sent to them... see below)...
Please note that the fax number and address for Open Business Solutions is different from the fax number I sent my buinsess corrections to. That number (after a google search) belongs to Performance Improvement, LLC. (who I have never spoken to or done business with) Their number was 877 946-4248.
This whole thing is obviously a scam and uses deceptive tactics. Other Open Business Solutions cases that I looked into involved credit reporting threats, leagl threats and so on.
