I saw an ad targeted for health insurance geared towards incomes under $70,000. This ad was with a very poignant post on facebook, geared toward mothers and families. The facebook page is called "PROUD GRANDMA" and has a staggering number of followers, making it appear very legit. Families making less than $70k per year now qualify for reduced healthcare insurance! Get a personalized quote today & see how much you can save!http://womenlifestyletips.com/healthI called the number and got a very upbeat, chatty "insurance broker" who explained to me that I was not going to receive a "major medical plan" like Blue Cross/Blue Sheild, but rather as a broker, he was able to save me the time and trouble of trying to find the best coverage at a rate I could afford. He talked fast and very "smooth", very confident of himself and his product. As long as I was currently covered (I was) he didn't care about pre-existing conditions. He told me that my prescriptions would all be covered, I would have no deductable and he'd like to add an accident policy to my benefits, which included eye exams and dental. He told me these amazing rates were possible because they "sign a lot of people up at once" so it is considered a "group policy" and everyone benefits by getting a cut. In reply to my "it sounds too good to be true" he said "oh, we hear that all the time!" and laughed. I was given a very reasonable monthly premium with a non-refundable sign on fee of $99 if I chose to drop it in the first 30 days. I should have known then there was something amiss. In addition, I called him again the next day to ask where I could go online to read about my policy and asked about cards and policy numbers...he said that "all of that would come in an email tomorrow"...the email never came, I called back a couple of days later, now getting upset...he transferred me to his "supervisor" (but when I first talked to him he told me that HE was the supervisor) who explained that everything would be coming in the mail and "insurance companies can be slow"...I finally received my card and it just didn't feel or look "right"...one of the benefits I was most looking forward to was the prescription coverage...and I immediately found out that the most important medication I am on is not covered!!  It is now obvious why there is no contract or program plan to physcially review before they sign you up. My doctor, who I was assured would be covered because "this is a PPO" is not listed at all.  My mother always said "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is".  I didn't listen to her, I hope you will.

I read the report that was described on your page, by the person from Garden City,N.J. .

We have the same exact story! The script that was read to me was exactly the same, as was the small talk from the broker.

My call was supposedly recorded on tape for " security" purposes.
