In response to the posting dated June 23, 2005 on this website regarding Paetec phone and VOIP services, I would like to set the record straight regarding certain opinions expressed by an employee of my company. In that posting, my employee described her experience with Paetec in a negative light. After thoroughly discussing the matter, it has become clear that her misunderstanding of the facts relating to the selection of our new phone services had lead her to make certain inaccurate observations. To set the record straight, I feel compelled as a small business owner to describe my interactions with Paetec. Since our original discussions, Paetec has been careful to recommend workable solutions and not push the sale of unnecessary equipment or services. As a matter of fact, on our first meeting over a year ago, Paetec recommended against using their services because it simply was not yet cost effective for a business of my size. As we have grown, I have continued to discuss the implementation of VOIP technologies with Paetec and have found their professional advice and business integrity to be exemplary in the business. Although we did have some surprises when implementing the new system, the additional costs came from the integration of the system with our existing computer network. Due to the complexity of the wireless services we offer to tenants, web hosting, and VPN services, it is easy to understand how my employee could have confused the cost overruns and attributed them to Paetec. This was simply not the case however. The reality is that even when we encountered difficulties, Paetec went above and beyond and brought in a separate independent IT guy to give his opinion, at no cost to us! At the end of the day, we are moving ahead with Paetec to provide services at several facilities and I continue to be impressed by their professional representation in the field. I would personally recommend utilizing their services and look forward to a long term professional relationship.

This was written as my personal opinnion. i asked that Paytec send us a price quote with everything in it, and i didnt feel that it was. that hindered me from making a decision about their services. that is the reason i wrote this, so that it would help others. this in no way is an opinnion from the company or the owner of the company. it is my personal opinion, i just want to help others know that if they dont know much about computers or phones, they need to ask these kinds of questions so that they can get a correct price quote of how much the work will cost. Paetec has been around for a long time. Their services are probably very good. I just needed to get answers and be told what i needed to know as a person who didnt now anything about phones and internet phone systems, so i felt i should have been given more information so that i could have asked questions that would help me recommend their services or not to my boss. This consumer report was only meant to be helpful to others who dont know anything about phones and interenet phones. that is all. I dont want it to hurt anyones feelings or point at anyone directly.
