Pamela Slocum the breeder for the Pam's Little Angels sells me a defective puppy and refused to accept return/exchanged as she stated in the contract. I ordered a toy Schnoodle puppy because it's hypoallergenic on October 24,2009 and put $100 deposit. She was very helpful and nice and reply to all my questions promptly before I finish paying her, but once I paid her in full, she will take a few days to acknowledge you. So BEWARE!

On Dec 4, 2009, I picked up my puppy at the airport. When I reached home, I let the roamed around and discover that the puppy walks with a limp and her left hind leg is not touching the ground. I immediately called her to notify her of the situation and she told me it may be due to different flooring and nervousness. We noticed a broken nail on the same leg and thought that was the problem. But as the night progress, the puppy still limping and the left hind leg is about 2 inches off the ground.

On Dec 5, 2009, I took her to the vet and she was diagnosed with Medial Luxating Patella which is a congenital illness and is common in small/toy breed. Normally the kneecaps slide in and out of joint, but the puppy's that she sent me are out all the time and the vet told me that it's definitely not due to injury. Having that said, I contacted her again promptly about the matter. I had emailed her and tried calling her multiple timesr, but I have yet to get an answer from her. I tried to resolve the matter in the most professional and hassle free manner, but she refused to listen and kept telling me that the puppy's limping is due to to the broken nail and just keep her. I told her that was not what the vet said and I'm willing to provide her with vet's report and contact number but she refused to listen. She kept telling me that the puppy was fine when she sent it off and she can't even provide a report from her vet.

As of today, which is 2 days after I received the puppy, I still have not got any answer from her and I'm trying to return the puppy to her which also in a written contract that she promised to pay for the return shipping. I know I'm entitled to refund/exchange because I got the vet checked and reported the puppy's situation to her within 24 hours. Unfortunately, she refused to honor this agreement. I have provided a link to the videos  so that all the buyers can judge for themselves whether the limp is due to the broken nail or the puppy is indeed deformed.

So PLEASE DO NOT BUT ANY PETS FROM THIS BREEDER to avoid the misfortune, heartache, and emotionally distured that I'm going through now.

Shut up Kym! The breeder didn't offer me anything. I'm just being honest and admit to my mistake. I have the money and I'll get whatever kind of dogs I want. And you can go to the pound if you want and I don't care!

Its a animal not a machine. So it is disabled not Defective for one.#2 what did she offer you to update her report? Your vet said the puppy is disabled with a congenital issue, but now you are agreeing it was a broken nail? Why were the puppys nails not trimmed correctly? Had they been they would not have broken with out trauma.

Last but not least , There are enough Puppies and pure breed dogs in the shelters and rescue groups to provide every one with a new pet for years! Why in the hell are you buying a puppy? Dont you know 50% of all animals in shelters are pure breeeds people bought!

Apologising To Pam's Little Angels: GREAT BREEDER

I would like to publicly apologize to Pamela Slocum from Pam's Little Angels. The problem from the original report has been resolved.

I had jump into conclusion to quickly regarding her sending me a defective puppy. The puppy is indeed very healthy and the limp is caused by the broken nail. I was too anxious to point fingers and make wrong judgment at a very caring breeder. I had spoken to her and she has been very understanding on my situation and even advised me to get a second opinion from a different vet. She had assured me that the puppy is very healthy and I myself saw the puppy finally putting her leg down for about 5 minutes.

I also want to apologise to everyone, especially to Pam for making such a impulsive report without giving her enough time to resolve this matter. I'm ashamed of my misjudgement of a wonderful breeder. I really hope that pet lovers out there would go to her when looking for a pet. It's all my fault for not giving her enough time to respond to me before posting this report. I have not the slightest intention to tarnish her reputation and business. BUYERS, please disregard the original post and go to her. I'm lucky that I found her and I sincerely apologise for doubting her integrity as a breeder.

Sorry Pam and thank you for being understanding.

I would like to apologise publicly to Pamela Slocum for posting a bad review. I had stupidly jumped into conclusion about sending me a defective puppy. The puppy is indeed very very healthy. The limping was due to the broken nail and NOT birth defects.

This is my first puppy and I was very anxious and compulsive to point fingers at a very caring breeder. I have spoken to her and personally apologise to her for doubting her integrity. Pam was so understanding, she even told me to get a second opinion from another vet and reassured me that the puppy is healthy and free from genetic disease and she gives me a couple of weeks to see if the puppy starts walking normal.

I just want to sincerely apologise to her and everyone for this compulsive posting. So, BUYERS please ignore my original report and go to her if you are looking for pets. I'm lucky that I found her. I seriously feel bad and I have not the slightest intention to hurt her reputation nor business. I am SORRY.

Pam's Little Angels: Trying to resolve Problem

The breeder (Pamela) emailed me to let me know that she's in Colorado and doesn't have good signal and she's not ignoring the problem.

We decided to revisit the puppy issue in a peaceful manner that will benefits both of us and the puppy. I'm hoping that it will work out and will update this post once we came to a mutual agreement.
