papa johns pays 5.85 an hr min wage is 7.25 the delivery fee does not go to the drivers then they say they are giving a 300.00 bonus that u will never see garett and preveen deny for 1 reason or another the bonuses they try to screw there drivers as hard as they can there delivery area is 20 miles to the farthest point and they tax the gas allowance they give that is a joke 1.00 for a 40 mile delivery they charge 2.00 delivery fee and gas is 3.89 a gallon all tips end up going in the tank of your car that may be if your lucky

1.00 on a delivery some nights u dont get any tips then u end up working for free by the time u buy the gas average car gets 18 miles to a gallon around town u do the math cost 8.00 to make 1 delivery get 1 dollar back if your lucky u get 2 in same direction 40 mile round trip takes about 1 hr to deliver 5.85 plus 1.00 is 6.85 if no tip minus 8.00 spent in gas it cost 1.15 an hr to work there unless u are fortunate enough to get every delivery with in 1 mile of store most average 10 miles 1 direction 20 miles round trip but some nights u end up with all the 20 mile 1 direction deliveries

when i worked there i would put 150 to 200 miles a night on my car and i was not a closer for a whopping 20.00 a night i might get 5.00 in tips for the night garrett wants profits as high as possable so his checks are bigger so its screw the help the patrick st store does over a million dollars a year profits are through the roof but they screw the employees they ca afford to pay for fuel and pay min wage but they dont or a should say they pay about 1/8 the actual fuel cost and u work inside at same wage if u are a driver doing dishes for 5.85 an hour and tending pizza ovens etc.

I deliver pizzas for Papa John's ,  also !  We have several drivers who bring home over $100.00 per night in tips and reimbursements .  We do get some reimbursebent pay !  A driver can claim mileage on their taxes as long as they subtract the reimbursements from the federal mileage pay .  I came out good in 2014 on my tax return .  We do have long runs ,  but not 20 miles up a customer .  The furthest is about 8 miles out .  We do have bad nights at times .  Overall ,  we do quite well !  I imagine that this driver did not hustle enough ,  got lost on deliveries ,  stopped at stores and restaurants up get snacks and food ,   and spent much too much money .   I have been at the Patrick Street Papa John's for nearly 10 years now .  Some have been here longer than me .  Some of the area competitors pay more on the hour ,  but the drivers don't seem to make as much money as we do .  As a matter of fact ,  we have current drivers who formerly worked for our competitors .

As far as the bonus money goes a for signing up as a driver ,  I really don't know about the accuracy of their claims .  I started working for the company during a time period when this bonus money was not offered .   I do know that several drivers missed out on the bonus money because they quit before the deadline . One or two came back to work again - expecting to get their bonus undeservedly .
