I hope this helps you, I am a Songwriter too.
Any money order can be traced back to the person who cashed it.
Go back to the place where you bought the money order, they have to keep a log of the money order number, every money order has a number. You should have your copy of the money order receipt too. You can get a copy of the money order after it has been cashed and that is what you need to ask for from the place where you bought the money order.
The place you bought the money order from can run a TRACER on the money order to find out where it cashed and a person also had to sign the back of the money order so you can see the name of the signature on the back of the money order.
Tell them your money order was not returned to you, but you think it was cashed, they will be able to find out if in fact the money order was cashed.
A Money Order is like cash you have to pay cash or use a debit card to get a money order it can be cashed out anywhere, what the Representative at ParamountSong is stating is false, there is no such things as a Money Order that can't cashed and and "returned unpaid from the issuer".
If ParamountSong cashed the money order that is FRAUD! especially if they tell you they didn't. There is no way a business would have kept the money order from ParamountSong they would have given it back to them, but again it makes no sense, there is no such things as a money order being rejected in the first place.
And YES they should have sent you back your lyrics, cords etc everything you sent them, because they DID NOT provide any service for you. I wish you the best. ParamountSong is a company who SCAMS Songwriters, do not ever deal with them for any songs period!.
You need to send them an E-mail asking for your Song and Cords back, if they do not comply contact your Better Business Bueau immediately. Do not call ParamountSong, they will lie to you on the phone.
ParamountSong can not keep your lyrics or cords they did not provide any service to you.
What I have done recently to take action against ParamountSong:
I have sent in a formal complaint to the Tennessee BBB in 2012.
I am currently working with the Tennessee Division of Consumer Affairs and I am pursuing my case so it can be heard at the level of the Tennessee Attorney Generals Office, because ParamountSong has ripped me off on so many levels and they are ripping off other Songwriters too.
