Complaint Review: Park Drive Manor - CRM Management - Rome New York

This is basically the letter that i sent to HUD I feel that my Civil Rights have been violated on Sept. 14, 2004, by the management of Park Drive Manor. They sent me a notice saying they needed to have my kitchen and bathroom downstairs fumigated; therefore I had to leave my house.

Before I left I specifically asked the man who does the fumigating if he needed to go upstairs, He said have you seen anything upstairs? I said No I haven't He said Ok then I don't have to go upstairs, and I left for the required amount of time 3 hours. When I returned home there was an eviction noticed taped to my door, stating the reason for my eviction was Health & Safety violations and ongoing lease violations.

When I inspected my apartment all the doors upstairs and my dresser drawers were open, I had closed all my doors upstairs before I left my home for the 3 hours. On Sept. 15, 2004 I went to the office to discuss the notice of eviction that I received a meeting was setup with the District manager John Varecka for later that day and was boldly told by the office manager Dawnelle Fields that they have pictures of my apartment that were taken on Sept, 14, 2004 which I had no knowledge of or did I give them authorization to take. Also Dawnelle threatened me that my tone of voice would not make matters for me any better.

There is an on-going gross mismanagement; they have different rules for different tenants. Also my neighbor Kelly Clay who lives at 418 who has 2 children resides in a 4 bedroom with her children and her husband whom is not on her lease nor is he on her HUD paperwork nor is he on her Public assistance case. Dawnelle is aware of the situation but shows favoritism and chooses to do nothing about it.

There are also other tenants in the complex, that she gives a harder time about certain things than she does to others. If there are rules that we must follow, she should enforce them for everyone not just a select few. There have been many times I have complained about certain tenants and Dawnelle refuses to do anything about and tells me it is a matter for the police but yet when someone complains about me she puts a letter in my file as a lease violation and in my mailbox. I am sure that if someone speaks to enough of the tenants they will be able to find more problems along with the violations and discriminations due to mismanagement.

Once again they came to fumigate on Nov 22, 2004, and her hired henchmen went threw my dresser AGAIN, how do i know this because this time all my drawers were off there tracks. And according to her and her lawyer they are allowed to go thur my house and take pics etc etc etc anytime they want. Now Mind you that the girl next door is the one that sees the cockroaches and i called several places and was told that in order to get rid of these things u need to do all the apartments in 1 building but once again i was told by Dawnelle thats not true so of course i sit here and cry everyday wondering when there harassment is going to end.

So what i ask is where do my right begin and the landlords ends? what privacy do i have in my own home?????? as bad as it is i have to set up my camera everytime i leave. And to answer the question why don't i move well there is no place cheaper to live in rome with 4 kids. THINK PEOPLE HOW YOU WOULD FEEL IF YOUR LANDLORD DID THIS TO YOU??
