Patrick Roark ,AKA Michael Rogers Callaway, Fraudulent Business Promises & Loans in La Jolla California
I met Patrick Roark (aka Michael Callaway, Business Limited, LTD) because he worked in the office next to mine in San Diego, and I trusted my neighbor. Unfortunately that was a very bad move.
Patrick Roark told me many stories that he was invested in many business ventures that would end up giving him a $200 Million commission. If I invest a small deposit ($5,000) he could help businesses out with a line of credit and incorporating my business so I could give him 5% equity.
Do not be surprised if he comes to you with “To-Good-To-Be-True” promises because he will not ever keep them.
I invested $5,000 with Patrick Roark and about every two weeks he would tell me that my money will be available. I gave him a demand letter 5 months later, and finally filed a small claims case against him. His lies to me have continued ever since then.
Two months before my Small Claims Court Case, Patrick Roark filed a temporary restraining order against me, and tried to prevent me from going to my own workplace. (Even though he was evicted for non-payment in the same building) The restraining order was immediately dismissed due to lack of evidence in court.
Soon after and without my knowledge or permission, Patrick Roark’s CPA, Teddy Barzilai, filed paperwork to incorporate my business. I told the judge at the restraining order that I would have no contact with him until my small claims case. I had no knowledge of them filing this paperwork until Patrick showed it to me in court. Nor did I ever give either of them permission to use my name on public records. I had informed him months earlier that I did not want anything to do with him.
Since filing the Small Claims case, other past business acquaintance’s of Patrick Roark’s have contacted me in efforts to find where he is. One man had a judgement against Patrick Roark for $100,000 and has not been paid in nearly 10 years. He also told me about bad experiences with Teddy Barzilai.
I soon found out from this man that Patrick Roark has used the name, Michael Rogers Callaway, from a Vietnam Veteran on a passport application, and was extradited from Europe for using a fake passport in 2011.
As of November 15, 2016, Patrick Roark is still using the email address for “Michael Callaway”.
According to court documents Mr. Roark spent two years in jail for “Passport Fraud: False Statement in a Passport Application”, “Aggravated Identity Theft”, and a SEC complaint filed against him.
Apparently this is not the first time that Patrick Roark and his accomplices have damaged a business. He has proven that he will do anything, including lie to judges to not pay back what he has taken from others.
To anyone reading, Stay away from Patrick Roark and Teddy Barzilai at all costs.
