The unwarranted hell, lies, disrespect, of purchasing a piece of crap vehicle from Patriot Chrysler is worse then the nightmare of divorce at this point. Let alone the Manger John Lewis, knowingly and intentionally refused to cover the rental, which was then paid for out of my bank, because I had to use my CC to secure the rental!!

YOU STOLE FROM ME!! I hope to God that no one ever experiences this type of situation, EVER!! This has been 4 month of sheer hell Patriot has put me and my children through.

My first purchase of a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo was in November 2005. I stressed I did not want a rear wheel drive. I was reassured over and over this Jeep was a "front wheel drive". Before I gave Patriot $6000.00 cash down to keep my payments low, I was reassured again by John Lewis, Sales Manager. Now you would think the Manager is suppose to know his product, WRONG! I was back at Patriot Chrysler within 23 hours of this purchase. The salesman admitted to his mistake and Mr. Lewis was gone for the night which he has a history of "being gone for the day" when I call.

The next day both Mr. Lewis and the salesman admitted to me they provided false vehicle information I was given the night before. Both had admitted it was "their mistake" and it would be taken care of, but in the mean time, I was told to take the Jeep home and that I may change my mind. Call after call, visit after visit I requested my down payment back; I do NOT want this vehicle. Then I am told by Mr. Lewis and Toni that I HAD to make the first payment on the 2004 vehicle in order for "them" to put me in a 4x4, which I was told is a mandatory requirement of the Patriot Dealership and the manner of what their protocol and their procedure for the completing the paperwork, which made no sense to me. I ended up renting a vehicle for my families safety do to an upcoming snowfall. We had experienced a very frightening episode while in the rear wheel drive 2004. That was a $56.00 expense I had to dish out.

Back and forth the BS went and on December 15, 2005 I purchased a 2002 Jeep Gr. Cherokee Limited. I brought the 2004 back with a full tank of gas and was given a $15.00 voucher because the tank was on E. Another $30.00 loss. I am NOT going to be quiet about this any longer, as I have been told time after time we will take care of it, trust us, we are not here to screw you like the other dealers. I know I am NOT the only victim of Patriot!!

Here goes, the fast one Patriot pulled on me. At no cost I was told by and reassured by John Lewis and the sales man I would take possession of the 2002 using my $6000.00 as the down payment. Something was not right .. I spoke with Toni in the Office after I received all my paperwork which was after the Jeep had been in the shop for 2 weeks and inquired about the numbers and where my $6000.00 down payment was. Well John has to work the numbers to make it look right on paper, BUT your down payment is in there.... WRONG.

Toni tells me that the paperwork is confusing to a lot of their customer because they are overwhelmed by the purchase and it is difficult for the buyer to understand, trust me. The following day in January, I spoke with John, can't remember the exact date I have made so many justified calls to them and now I am talking to an out of control disrespectful manager that would not let me get a word in edge wise. The reason it is confusing is Patriot is not going to come right out and tell you they are ripping you off. So when you ask for them to explain, the explanation confuses you more.

When I was getting nowhere with Lewis, I asked for his bosses name and his response which was in a very aggressive and angered tone told me "I am the boss and I am the one that makes the decisions here. We can handle this the hard way or the easy way" and then I heard "click". Did he forget to take his medication today?

Now 4 days after the vehicle was purchased from the front line, it was in the shop for 2 weeks. Unknown to me the Jeep was NEVER serviced at the time of the sale. I was given one key, yes just one and sent on my way. In the paperwork, on these little notes it says, "We owe you nothing but great service"

Here's the catch: Patriot stole from my $6K down payment, that they promised me would be applied to the 2002 a total of $2903.00 for use of the 2004 Jeep, which I was mis-informed on, which they admitted was there fault and again reassured me we would start with a clean slate. Now, I have had it. BEWARE: I was NEVER told of a repurchase fee, Patriot lied again!!

The 2002 Jeep had 2 sets of tires, which were very similar, and a flat spare. There was only 53k miles on this Jeep. The front end was shot both side upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends, pitman arm, the moon roof began leaking, the brakes were on break yet the grinding noise no one could hear. The rotors turned down to the minimum and still squealing. The tires were replaced with 4 matched, with about 60,000 miles on them. Never aligned the front ends after the first time so now the tires are bare and worn out on the outer edges. RPM continue to drop below 5, which stalls my engine.

There is a hard 2nd shift Lewis calls normal, the engine ticking is normal and if it was not there then there would be a problem, the leaks from the transmission pan and the rear differential is normal so we just wiped of the caked on junk, the exhaust leak at the junction of the muffler at the top is normal, the grinding and squealing is normal because the breaks are wearing in, and I still only have that one key which they refuse to give me a spare.

The Jeep was back in Service again in January, and without a rental for 2 days, in again February 13th for 3 days with a rental I was charged for. All I heard from John Lewis was his whining to me about the $2000.00+ he had to put into the front end. This is NOT my problem. Call your therapist if you cannot handle your job. I was also told by Mr. Lewis to get my hearing checked and that I am hearing things. This was a joke, right?

My point here is I am within my rights of the Lemon Laws of Massachusetts, within my limited warranty rights, which that was extended do to the amount of days it had been in the shop and I am done dealing with Mr. Lewis. He has done absolutely nothing to resolve this problem.

On Thursday, March 2, 2006 in a very ohhh so pleasant conversation with Mr. Lewis, he made sure I heard what he said and that was You are not entitled to a full refund or a refund, we do not owe you nothing, we are not taking your Jeep back because you own it now, this is your problem. He also stated he would fight me to the end and to NOT count on winning. There has been one to many verbal threats towards me, coming from John Lewis, Manager. What is there to fight about John, the truth is the truth and you know it?

Right now, this has been emotionally frustrating, a test of my patience. This is only the tip of the iceberg believe it or not. I will not stop fighting to recover the monies that Patriot ripped me off. No one should be treated with the disrespect and dishonesty, lying, manipulation from ANY dealership, let alone the experience and promise I will NEVER purchase a vehicle from Patriot Chrysler or Patriot Pontiac. Word of mouth can make or break a business. I will speak only the truth!!

Marc, This is a 2002 4x4 Jeep Gr. Cherokee Limited with 55,321 miles, as of today. Feels more like 255,000 miles....OUCH! Gets pretty ccccold here in New England, probably a sign to move to a warmer climate. 16 degrees here as I write brrrr. Carfax on its way.

It sounds like your Jeep has been run into the ground, from what you say it must have two hundred thousand miles on it. Maybe it was a recovered stolen or a repo, or used to cahse down illegals in the desert. If the mileage is higher than they say it is, you got em. If not, chalk it up to experience and don't go shopping for a car by yourself. You are definitely way over your head when it comes to car-buying. With cars costing as much as house, you need to know more than pretty hubcaps.

Jim, I was back within 23 hours and both the Manager and Salesman "both admitted" their mistake of their insufficient knowledge of the vehicle. This was, a reputable dealer, 2 large dealerships just miles apart. Living in the outskirts does have its downfalls. I had just returned home from the hospital with my son, and did not have "that chance" to bring the vehicle to a mechanic, they are not open at 6 a.m.. The second vehicle had only been in my possesion for 3 days which included a weekend when it was brought back to the shop where one problem lead to another and remained there for 11 days. A large dealership "normally" service front line vehicles... ooops. The elmers glue had come undone from the Jeep while it was in service. Almost like coming out of plastic surgery looking like a monster. Whose fault? Definately not mine.

Sandra... Did I read this right? Maybe my eyes are bad and I didn't really see this. You bought this car, spent YOUR money and didn't know what you were buying?????????? Did you have YOUR OWN mechanic check this car out BEFORE you bought it??? Incredible!

So Much Confusion, Right Mr. Lewis? Try being honest to your customers for just one day.

I do not want to hear, ohhh I forgot to pay for your rental which you are entitled to. You know you did this purposely or is it somewhere on your desk like all the notes for you to call me back regarding the vehicle? Wait, I know you trashed it... ahhh good one. With regards to the rental and you tying up my money don't forget to add interest to the money you stole from me, my excise tax bill I received for $67.71, $30.00 for the full tank of gas I put in the 2004 (remember the one you lied about)? Ohh and the rental I had to obtain to make sure my children were safe, that was $56.26. Total $353.97. This is only the first of 2 complaints that will appear. A note of inspiration: Try being honest to your customers for just one day. You will feel much better about yourself, then maybe your bitter intentions will hopefully cease.
