In the description of the Item I sold on eBay I clearly tell customers to ask questions before they bid, I state all sales are final and that returns are not accepted. My problem with PayPal is in spite of what my ad states PayPal forced me to refund the customers money on an item that is electronic in nature and was new and unopened when it was sold and although the customer has to return the Item to me It will be hard for me to sell it now that it has been opened and possibly damaged by this customer. In order to make sure it is not damaged I will have to pay a technician to test it.

And I tried to sell on eBay without offering PayPal as a payment method and wasn't able to list!

Dump eBay And Move To Craigslist

EBay had spent so much money buying PayPal that they painted themselves into a corner. In order to have any chance and recouping their investment they must FORCE sellers to use the service. Many, many, many sellers have been scammed by Paypal buyers and eBay has bascially lost all control of this operation. The sellers have no protection when PayPal is involved. EBay can't sell PayPal without taking a real bath so they're milking it for what they can. Of course you, the seller, take the fall. Play it smart and deal locally with Craigslist buyers. No more shipping or payment hassles. Face-to-face with cash works best for me. Of course, if you're not in a large metro area you won't see the same volume of buying traffic.
