I purchased a Peachtree Citadel sliding glass door 9/14/06 from Menards.  In February 2009 I e-mailed customer service to file a complaint that it was not rolling smoothly and the door had become difficult to open.  I received no response.  I went to Menards on two seperate occassions to seek thier assistance but they have turned out to be as worthless as Peachtree.

On April 21, 2009 I called and complained.  They would not send anyone out to service the door and instead opted to send be the wrong replacement rollers.  They did not address my additional complaints that the track was ruined, a peice of fiberglass had chipped off the back of the door, the upper rail that holds the foam sealer against the door had fallen out, and the foam seal was torn.

On March 21, 2010 I filed an on-line complaint through their website citing all of the above items as well as new problems:  all the hardware has corroded, the edge of the fiberglass door has begun to split.

Still absolutely zero response despite the fact that the Citidel has a full 20 year warranty.

I want to bring a class action law suit against Peachtree Windows and Doors for false warranty claims, and carrying the worst product and poorsest customer service on the face of the planet.

My husband and I purchased our new home in 2006. The previous owner put in Peach Tree windows and 5 french doors in 2003. Since we have owned the home, we have noticed that the window seals were leaking, causing the windows to fog, the French doors are now hard to open and we have wet rot along the frames. The screen doors get stuck and sometimes I can't even open them. We have numerous windows throughout the house and can not afford to replace them in the near future. One would think that a warranty for windows would cover the defects that this product obviously has. It seems from what i have read in other owners of Peach Tree products, that the complaints are the same. I contacted the company and the too said that because we were not the original owners (which makes no sense!), they could not help us. This is a shoddy product and consumers of this product need the assistance of an attorney willing to help us.

Great news!  I went back to Menards where I purchased the door, spoke to a real Manager, and explained my discontent.  He did two things.  First he gave me a business card for the Peachtree customer service department that oversees the Meanards account.  Second, there is a service complaint form that you can fill out. This would get the Menards Buyer to contact the Peachtree rep and raise some hell.

I contacted Peachtree via the number on the card and to make a long story short, I sent them a bunch of pictures and they are sending me a new door!  WooHoo!!
