THEY HAVE CHEATED MANY PEOPLE IN RALEIGH. RUN AWAY!! p.s. Their facilities are typically dirtier, smellier, and hotter (turn down A/C to save money for rent) than other clubs around town. Then there's the blaring crap music...

your argument that the person selling the contract is not an attorney. Implying that only attorneys can sell contracts??? Therefore since no attorneys are at the gym you shouldn't be selling contracts in the first place? No doubt that the person signed a year contract. I believe that is the lowest incremental amount someone can sign up for...just a guess. What does that have to do with heating and cooling a building? If someone pays for a month, which in sum is more expensive than a yearly, wouldn't you be getting more money per month to heat and cool a building? Clean up crew is the same thing as staff who just empty the trash can. The weights are scattered about the gym. Last time I checked an inanimate object does not cause a mess. The last half of your posting is totally off tangent. Who cares about open heart surgery when the matter at hand is how the owner is accused of cheating someone out of their money? Essentially you are saying you are doing the person a favor by charging them for a year at which they will not use because it gives them an incentive to work out. You are such a model citizen. BTW, hurting the country? Really?? In short Peak Fitness is as crooked as they come. As a disclaimer I myself go there and can say that they are shady. I get billed twice a month sometimes for no reason. I get the run around when trying to get it fixed. But don't take my word for it. Try it yourself and get screwed over.

I have owned health clubs in the past and I really dislike when members use this argument and defame a company. My guess is the person who sold you the membership is not an attorney, therefore would not be qualified to discuss the agreement you signed with Peak Fitness. Secondly most health clubs do not allow a month to month agreement unless the person pays a much higher rate. It makes sense, because the gym still has to have staff, heat/ac, classes, clean up crew etc, if you do or do not decide to stick with exercise. You also said in your complaint that you told Mr. Evans you wanted to work out for a few months, I think anyone reading this knows a few months is longer than 30 days. So you went into a health club to exercise, didn't show up, got no results, signed a contract you didn't read, took an hour of the memberships directors time, got a free personal training session and was ready to quit 30 days later and that is the clubs fault. Shame on you! get back to any health club and exercise. Your going to cost the country money because you are not taking care of your health. The monthly fee for a membership is much less expansive than open heart surgery or medications. Did you offer to pay for the few months you verbally told Mr Evans you were going to use when this all came to a head? No, it's always the health clubs responsible for someone failing at exercise, you mentioned that this company is interested in your health, your the one not interested in your health. Because if you were you would still be exercising and this wouldn't be an issue.
