PEOPLE PC the free trial is not free and MARK the customer service rep yelled at me and hung up on me ripoff SAN FRANCISCO California
In attempting to take advantage of their free trial offer for 30 days I called to set up the FREE account.
I was told by MARK the customer service rep that all he needed was a credit card for the free trial.
I said "well then, I guess it's not a free trial is it?" to which he explained that in order to take the trial I had to give a credit card #.
I said "here on the box it says NO CREDIT CARD REQUIRED" and that after AOL gave me a free trial AND THEN CONTINUED TO BILL MY CARD FOR SERVICE EVEN A YEAR AFTER WE MOVED AND THE PHONE WAS DISCONNECTED.
Again, I said "I'd like the free trial."
MARK the Rep yelled at me about how if I wanted the trial I had to give up the number. I said "you're not very good at customer service and I'd like to speak with a supervisor" and he hung up on me.
Then, I called their office in SF, CA and the receptionist refused to allow me to speak with someone- said "the only way to file a complaint is to write them A LETTER!".
I said I wanted to speak to a supervisor and SHE hung up on me-this from the RECEPTIONIST at the CORPORATE OFFICE.
PEOPLEPC has terrible customer service and their free trial is NOT FREE!
