Complaint Review: Perfect Peace Golden Retrievers - Burwell Nebraska

I have had the opportunity to contact Angela Alberts of Perfect Peace.  I have found her willing to share information, and quite knowledgeable about the breed.  Angela co authored a document on English Golden Retrievers in the Golden Retriever of American's Publication.  Angela follows the ethical guidelines set forth by our parent club of the Golden Retriever Club of American.  I find her to be dedicated, knowledgable, and passionate about this breed.  Those of us that venture into ethical breeding, due so out of respect for our breed, and betterment of breeding.

I would not hesitate in recommending Perfect Peace due to her longstanding involvement in the breed and dedication to the Golden Community. Her reputatioin is outstanding, and she has been nothing but kind to me any time I have contacted her with questions, and referred individuals to me.  Her screening process for potential puppy famlies  says it all.

The internet can be a useful tool for research, however fact must validate the allegations.  Just because a person chooses to have Religious content does not  make her a bad  or good breeder.  It does not give persons to report allegations that can not be varifed as true.  

So before you believe everything you read....check it out.

Just heard about this report this morning from a friend and was a bit shocked.  I would like to advise that I do not even know this person and most of her information is false.

Yes I have a Laburnum dog, and she has only proven to be one of the better breeders I know.  There are very few Laburnum dogs in the United States.  And if you thoroughly did research you would find that my girl from her has an eye clearance and has passed many times.  Though since you don't know me nor have a dog from me - how would you know this?

To say that Laburnum dogs have eye problems - shows that you yourself are bad mouthing breeders.  Because there is no perfect dog, no matter how many genetic health tests you do - there is no 100% gaurentee.  And if you were an honest person - you would know that every dog (no matter the background) has something behind them.  Taking the time to research and find correct information and staying away from anything that may double up on problems - is what good breeders do.

It is funny you should even go on to say I breed my females every cycle.  Anyone that actually knows me - would testify differently.  My one girl is going to be 3 in a few months time and still has yet to have a litter.  My Laburnum girl is 5 and has only had two litters in her lifetime!!  Does that sound like every heat cycle to you?  And she is not the abnormal one - all of my dogs are that way. 

I have only ever had at most 3 litters in a year - this year I have only had 2.  If I was some puppy mill don't you think I would have had more litters?  If I was breeding every cycle - don't you think I would have more litters?  If I was breeding for the money - don't you think I would be charging more like the breeders in CA - who charge nearly $3,000 for a dog??  All these questions left unanswered, I am sure, since you don't seem to even know who I am!!!!

My questions to the writer are:  Have you ever been here to my house to see my dogs?  Have you followed my dogs through the years of me having them and even know how often I have bred them?  Have you gotten a puppy from me, so as to know they were supposedly mistreated or abused? 

Or are you one of these people who tried to purchase a breeding dog from me and I said no to you - and you are angry about that?  What is the deal, and what evidence do you have to support any of your claims??  I am afraid to say that you have none - as they don't exist!!!

I don't know who you are talking about but it certainly is NOT Perfect Peace Goldens in Nebraska!!  I have 2 puppies from Angela at Perfect Peace Goldens.  I have met their dogs in person... have you?  My dogs are BEAUTIFUL and have been very healthy with fabulous temperaments!

If you had ever actually been on their website you would see that they only have 1 dog from Laburnum.... and she has a eye clearance (as well as everything else!!)  And that dog is almost 5 years old and has only had 2 litters!!  How is that breeding every heat cycle?  ALL of her dogs have the proper heath certifications!!  And that being said I did a LOT of research before I bought my dogs and I only came across 1 or 2 other Laburnum dogs in all of North America!  I would bet the Laburnum breeder is very picky who they sell to.... Did they not want to sell one to you??  PROBABLY!!
