Peter Paxon/Paetec communications I got a call from him stating he worked for microsoft, my computer was in danger, and he took over control of it. stated redmond florida Florida
Individual called and stated he worked for microsoft and that they were advised my computer was at an extreme levelo of a virus in my hardware that needed to be corrected immediately. He took over my computer for approx 2 hrs while talking me through it on the phone. Said he was calling from Microsoft from an office in Redmond FLa... after he was done he said there would be a pop up page from microsoft to keep my computer safe for its lifetime. The pop up page was asking for money of course... so I hung up. As I research the phone number (607) 223-5230, seems the call came from New York, not florida... should have known better.
