*If a condition is serious enough that the dog is hospitalized say for instance pneumonia the customer has the option of relinquishing ownership back to Petland and we will find them a replacement puppy or we will cover treatment up to the purchase price.* That our state law and not just because you think it's the right thing to do, lol. Treatment up to purchase price has to be at the seller's preferred veterinarian though.

I am sorry that Kristina feels that she had a bad experience here. We work hard to keep our PUPPIES CLEAN and HEALTHY. We wash our hands between holding each puppy and also SANITIZE the play rooms between each puppy. We give them VACCINATIONS and DEWORMINGS to help prevent parvo and distemper, KENNEL COUGH, and parasites. As puppies immune systems are still developing, they can develop a kennel cough although we do everything we can to prevent this. Sometimes it can occur when the puppy is transferred to a new environment. Even though the environment is a loving home. Puppies usually need about 2-3 hours REST for every hour of play so it is important that they have adequate rest time. Eventhough all these safeguards are practiced still sometimes a puppy can get a kennel cough. Our WARRANTY covers treatment for this condition up to the purchase price of the dog. Usually the cost of treatment is minimal and if the customer goes to our vet there is no cost to them. Usually the puppy is fine in a week or tWo. If a condition is serious enough that the dog is hospitalized say for instance pneumonia the customer has the option of relinquishing ownership back to Petland and we will find them a replacement puppy or we will cover treatment up to the purchase price. We tried to explain to Kristina that a simple kennel cough where the dog is not hospitalized is not a valid reason under the warranty for a return. She didn't agree so we made an acception for that we would return the cost of the puppy. She wanted her vet bill paid as well. We kindly tried to explain that we were already making an acception for her as far as the warranty was concerned and that we could only refund the cost of the dog. She seemed very angry and threw her bag at me which hit me in the arm. Due to this alarming reaction we decided we would need to reevaluate our good will gesture. After further evaluation we decided to refund the purchase and help her with her vet bill. The puppy was given treatment for the kennel cough and found a new loving home a few weeks later.
