I am a professional florist. I am sorry to hear of your disappointment with your wedding flowers. Wedding flowers are an important part of a hopefully happy wedding memory. In my experience, our Wedding customers have benefitted from and been protected by having a contract for our services. Basically, item by item is described, and agreed upon. We must make the disclaimer that vendor issues, an Act of God, could be the cause for us to make reasonable substitutions. We also discuss these "disaster potentials" with a client well in advance of the date. We do business with more than one vendor, and seek out product from any and all vendors. And most importantly, we have our product delivered several days in advance of the event, and INVITE the Bride for a PREVIEW! If substitutions MUST be made, the Bride is fully informed, and AUTHORIZES the changes. Our customers have always appreciated this gesture, and have been satisfied, and pleasantly surprised by the results. As a wedding customer, you should seek out vendors with a good reputation, an excellent portfolio of their work, and willingness to contract their services. Best wishes to all.
