Hi my name is Mike i use to work at Pizza Hut on broadway in Quincy Illinois. I worked there for a little over a year. In the time that i was there i have moved up to Production Leader, To shift manager. I was promised raises and i never recived them. I am only 17 years old and i was a shift manager only making $5.15 the same amount i made when i first started there. Cooks that were 18 years old and started there month(s) after me made $5.50.

That store was so cheap, and the disctrisct manager was a pervert. All he ever talked about was women, and how we needed to get some "hot looking girls in here." If any one is looking for a job i suggest you DO NOT go to Pizza Hut because they don't care about their employees, all they care about is making the money for them selves.

Lies Indeed, upper-management and executives don't care about the employees or their wages or problems, make promises about moving up the ladder that will never happen.

I've been with Pizza Hut for nearly 5 years, and have been a shift manager for about 2. It is true that the upper-management and executives don't care about the employees or their wages or problems. They are all trained the same way to deal with complaints about low wages, and it usually works. They'll be nice to you and encourage you and give you "champs" cards and tell you to work harder to make you feel better on the surface, but turn the other cheek when your paycheck rolls in. The bottom line is, they don't think about fairness in paying people proportionately as to the work they do. The district managers/area coaches are the worst. They make shady almost manipulative pacts with individuals about wages, i.e., "you'll get this much per hour, but don't tell your peers, because they make less than you". That's their job, plain and simple. I mean, what do you expect from a company who's president is only president because he happened to buy the most stocks? I'm sure if they could, they'd pay less than minimum wage. Unless you're on a salary with them, there is nothing about working there that's worth the money you get for it, unless you're delivering pizzas or a waiter/waitress. Shift managers have it the worst. They're expected to be responsible for a store that generates milllion(s) of dollars per year, all of the money flowing through it day to day, take the wrap when something goes wrong, expected to go out and actively do tasks to build overall sales for the store, NOT take breaks, be knowledgable and accountable for all appliances in the store...the list goes on...and they're lucky to get $7/hr. And for anyone's general information, Pizza Hut RGM's make 35-50k/yr, the Area Coaches/District Managers make 60-80k/yr....that trend continues as you move up. They can't take 1k out of all of their salaries in order to give all of their employees at least a DECENT hourly rate? They will also make promises about moving up the ladder. It's not completely corrupt, but 2 years ago I was given a personal garuntee that I'd be almost ready to open my own store, within six months from now. I haven't seen anything close to a promotion, and believe me, it is past due. Like I said, unless you're delivering pizzas or waiting tables, stay away from the 'Hut. There are much better opportunites out there.

Mike you are a well-spoken man. I don't know if I could have said it any better myself. Keep your chin up, Pizza Hut is a miserable place to work. Things will get better.
