Complaint Review: Platinum Rentals - Rosemead California

Businesses like these are the people ruining America. The owners and employees should be shipped off in boats to penal colonies in Scandinavia, made to work hard slave-labor lives paying back everyone they've stolen from - yes, they are all aware of the dishonest service that they are running.

People don't really realize what businesses like these are costing the American people. Every time someone gets ripped off it does more harm then people think, and it's ruining our economy - the proof is everywhere.

So, this business, like so many in California, from home owners associations to the entire 'cartel run' mmj dispensary situations.. that our government is involved in keeping in  'legal grey areas' ...designed for state and federal laws working against each-other - to create these grey areas - to lure in the naieve - so they can be busted ..to generate more revenue for corrupt attorneys, corrupt officials, corrupt police, etc - these are all very clever scams from the start. Here is how this particular one at 'Platinum Rentals' works. 

They ask for $180, and $130 is guaranteed back to you if you find another apartment, on your own, etc. They will verbally say anything to get the money. Promise you openly, Adriana or Jim, both playing the normal rental agency employee. What they are doing is openly lying because they know the math.

You are talked into signing a form that's hard to understand, while they will assure you the whole time you're getting your money back. So lets say you find an apartment the next day on your own. You call, they tell you to wait 3 months, then call back.

3 months later when you call, you'll be talked into sending faxes of utility bills and rental agreements - FIRST. 

After the time it takes to do all of this, THEN and ONLY THEN will they tell you the truth - that you would have had to come in 2 times a week, every week for those entire 3 months. OR sign up for a website that costs 50$ a month, to print 30 forms over those three months. One way it costs you easily over $300.00 + time, unless you live in Rosemead and the other it's at least $150.00 + time. Both ways the total you're spending - in gas to get there - or signing up online with fees + the time = more then you'd stand to gain by asking them to fulfill their part of the verbal agreement. They obviously specifically designed it this way, then play stupid about it if you try and fight.

The woman who you will next talk to, will use the argument that 'you' signed a form saying it was ok for them to do this to you, in their defense - all of this AFTER knowing you weren't able to follow through, AFTER asking that you send them the bills/lease. Why would they do thius? It's like they want to waste your time.

That's very odd behavior - proving my other claims. They are owned by some larger entity, trying to get back at certain people. They aren't just after the money, they want to waste your time. But why? Who would do this?

If you fill out the online BBB forms, and then call the BBB - after 2 weeks, Platinum Rentals won't respond to your claims through an automated dispute process. The Dept of Consumer affairs and LA DA will reroute you also - to small claims court - also not worth the effort in the end. This is an example of a perfect scam, and the government doing nothing about it - instead going after all of us in similar fashions. I wouldn't be surprised if platinum rentals is somehow government owned, or paying off state officials to remain in business.

* Also, adding this in. I noticed websites and blogs about these guys. They've been shut down, and operate without business licences. But apparently - that doesn't matter - because they're still doing it, unpunished. Their owner, a guy named Martinez, has been referred to as a top Latino businessman in California. These are the scumbags buying off politicians... cartel people, corrupt d****e-bags ruining it for all.

It was all set up this way, very clever. These people are dirty rotten scumbags, every last one of them - I urge you all to go in there and take the place to the ground, pitchforks, shovels, etc.

Stealing your money and time - Ruining America while nothing is done, all by the numbers - and they absolutely know it - they know what they're doing, they're trying to legally take your money, your time, they will take your soul if you allow them to.

Right now I've spent way more trying to figure out whats going on then i could ever be reimbursed for with $130.00 .. but knowing this may help others, I feel some justice. Please - if you've had this happen to you by these scumbags - fill out reports with the BBB and ripoffreport-dot-com. The more noise we make, the better chance there is of putting these people in jail where they belong, or at least making sure they can never do this again. The fact they're doing it is mind-boggling, but only proves the corruption. America, the land of freedom is over.
