Karen had sold me a kitten an INTESTINAL PARASITE which caused gross diarrhea as the kitten pooped everywhere multiple times a day, an ear infection, and ringworm which has spread to my family. The parasite had spread to my other cat. She is not only having these kittens suffer but also destroying homes by selling them with these illnesses!. I had originally put down the deposit for 2 kittens, and she told me one of them wasn't going to survive. So, she gave me the other one which barely survived and I had to pay over 1000 in vet costs the next week.

I texted and emailed this to her. No answer. She is super responsive before you buy the kitten and while you are asking questions about prospective kittens, but does not pick up her phone after you pick up the kitten! I am furious. Will take legal action after I'm done blasting her online, she is supposedly a TICA breeder. First red flag is her front page of her website saying "people love us on yelp"  --- they don't have a yelp!! They also do not have any sort of website people can comment or review on. The facebook is very private and they comments on their photos as well. Do not buy a kitten from her - your house will be full of diseases!

I had tried to contact the breeder, Karen multiple times as many other people have and she had ignored me just as she had others. I'm not sure why she is trying to get defensive now when her breeding business is clearly over. I am not the only one with this experience, I personally contacted the other people who had responded to my complaint on this site: http://www.thecatsite.com/products/pleasant-pond-bengals-ridge-ny And I had won the court case against her after documenting other customers that have had he same exact experience (same exact 3 diseases!! Coincidence? I think not). She had finally paid me after months. Have fun with your attorney Karen (I am 100% sure she is bluffing but for the sake of argument)..... you will just dig yourself into a bigger hole as criminal intent of animal abuse, and profiting off disregard for health and well being of human lives can easily be proven with so many witnesses, customers, and their vets.

RESPONSE TO COMPLAINT

This person purchased a Bengal kitten from me in late May, 2015. In keeping with the law, the kitten had a well-kitten vet check a few days prior, and was found to be healthy and ready to go to her new home.

Once the kitten was in her new home, I heard nothing until June 22 when I received a rather hostile email saying I had been ignoring her communications and that the kitten was sick.  It is the responsibility to the buyer to take their kitten to their own vet within 72 hours of taking custody of the kitten.  This is clearly stated in the contract which Miss Stone signed.

The reason for the vet check by the new owner’s vet is that it is not out of the realm of possibility a kitten can get sick during transfer.  The reason for my vet check prior to them leaving for their new homes to insure that to the best of my ability the kitten was healthy at the time it left.

Apparently, she had not read the contract, as it also states she has the responsibility to contact me and return the kitten if it should be found ill when checked by her vet.

In addition to taking me to small claims court to try and collect $3000 for her vet bill and furniture, she also reported me to the Suffolk County SPCA.  A representative from SPCA contacted me, visited my home and found her complaints to be unsubstantiated.

This individual has also posted information on the internet, some of which has been deemed slanderous by our attorney. Discussions are underway as to whether to address this matter in the courts.

3 kittens? Yeah right, I wouldn't be surprised if this is Karen Lemaster writing to try to start the business again which has been shut down due to negative publicity (just google pleasant pond bengals). Oh, not to mention the court case I had won against you after citing the multiple other people this same exact situation has affected with the same exact 3 diseases , I will post the public case number and info if need be :)

I can say that I have purchased three Bengal babies from this breeder and they are the best . Recommended to five friends and they all have the babies and they are great. They are healthy and they are so playful. To this day she checks up on us every other week. And anytime I call she always gets back to me within an hr if she's not available. When I purchased the kittens I went to her home and she gave me a tour of all the kittens . They were healthy and they were all full of life an affection. My friends also went to her home and they even said how great it was to see them all at the place where they are kept cause they are very picky when it come to the conditions of where they are raised. Her home was unbelievable, if u didn't see a cat u would never know there was cats there. Even on surprise visits to her home. She is very attentive and I'm grateful for her disposition.
