A close relative received a letter from PFG claiming that his home loan has gone under review by their loan restructuring team... new fixed mortgage with a lower monthly payment and/or additional cash out.
The only problem with this deceptive letter was that my close relative had paid his mortgage off in full and so there was no mortgage.
Obviously PFG is buying old credit report lists from somebody and they are claiming that they are actually doing real "reviews" which they are obviously not doing.
In general, I never respond to unsolicited mass mailings. They are almost always a total unadulterated ripoff - which this obviously is.
As for the mindless drivel that PFG's CEO wrote in response to the intelligent consumer that shopped around after becoming suspicious of PFG - take it for what it's worth!

"We take these matters very seriously"
I can assure you that no one will take the original report seriously. Even if every word were true, all it describes is someone that shopped around and found a better price. It happens every day in every type of business. Only someone as dim as the original poster would think it was an actual ripoff.

Dear Valued Customers:
We take these matters very seriously, and believe that there is merit in websites that educate consumers to make the right decisions when choosing a company to handle their business.
We have researched the complaint and have determined that there were no customers named "Nancy" that have applied for a loan with our company within the last 45 days.
The last customer named "Nancy" that we have conducted business with, was very pleased with our service, and was a pleasure to work with. Only problem... she is not from New Jersey. Please read her email below thanking her loan officer for his work.

Dear Joe,
On behalf of my Dad and myself, I'm writing to thank you for all your help with refinancing our mortgage! We are thrilled at the low rate you were able to get us! You answered all the questions we had in a timely manner! I also was impressed at how quickly the loan closed! I will definately recommend you and your company to my friends or to anyone that needs help with their finances! I'm sure we will call you for all our mortgage needs. Once again, thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Nancy J. Parfitt
Thank you to our valued customers for continuing to believe in the work we provide. We take pride in the services we offer.
We believe that this ficticious complaint was written by a disgruntled ex-employee, whom was terminated for failing to execute their duties as a PFG loan officer. You have my assurance that we will investigate the matter further, and will take proper recourse. Again, thank you for your continued support!
Best,
