Precision Garage Door Repair After giving them a description of the problem with your garge door, they tell you the rate is $69 +parts. I had priced the gear kit from Chamberlain Garage Door which is the maker for $29.95. Internet
I called the # on the web site. I received a call back and made an appt. for a tech to come out. I was told the cost is $69 + parts. I had priced the gear kit on the manufacture site (chamberlain Garage Door) at $29.95. When the tech showed up with the part , he told me parts was $138. I thought he has something different but it was the same gear kit. I could understand 20-30% markup but 250% is a bit ridiculous . I asked the tech about the up charge and he say they have to make money. A 30min repair job - you should not overcharge on part. A complete ripoff and that is why I'm writing to let you know to skip this company
