Prefered Merchants Card rip-off lied scammed Covered-up St. Pete Florida
Right before Christmas a company called with a credit card offer. My husband thought extra $$ for Christmas would be nice. They needed $200.00 from our checking account to be able to "process" the card.
After processing we would receive our $200.00 back, in the form of two coupons , good towards our credit card payment. In others words, we would be able to spend $200.00 on our new card and send in "coupons " in for our payment, same as cash.
The company promised that we could use the card anywhere that visa was accepted and like a debit card, with access to ATM machines.
After taking the $200.00 out of our Chekcing account we shortly recieved a package containing 2 catalogs loaded with cheaply made, highly priced crap!
It also contained a "Preffered Merchants Card" Wich can NOT be used anywhere! They did give us two paper "coupons" good towards the purchase of any of any of their crap.
Upon calling the customer service number we reilzed that we paid $200.00 for a plastic card. To even buy the Crap in the catalog we would have to put a 35% cash down. Our paper coupons were worth nothing unless we sent them more money.
They refused to give us a refund. They refused to Give us a copy of the phone conversation where they LIED to us! They BLEW US OFF!
