We live Georgia and a few months ago my husband had contacted James by telephone to inquire about his puppies. After talking with him for a few days my husband decided to purchase a puppy from him. We sent our money $1500, and received our dog a few days later. No problems. We took Rambo to our vet just to have him looked at. The vet had discovered a small patch of hair missing. He tested positive for mange. We immediatly contacted James and told him the problem and told him we wanted our money back and for him to pay the vet bills. No problem, he agreed. Since then my Husband has made numerous attemps to contact him and yet no response. His cell phone has been disconnected and his web site is not available. Can someone help me resolve this matter??? Heres what I suggest the next time you buy a dog from a breeder. 1. Take the time and effort to take a trip to the breeders kennel... see if the dogs are in living condition... Responsible breeders would welcome you to their kennel at anytime. If you plan on buying a puppy from them make sure that the AKC papers are there with the puppies. 2. If the breeder says the dog is titled (BH,SchH,ETC) Ask for scorebooks to prove the titling was done. This includes Other paper work such as KKL and other show papers. Make sure you get everything. 3. Do your homework! Don't just buy from any breeder or importer. Start a friendship with the breeder... If he or she sounds right then do it.... The best thing to do is to go to a local schutzhund club and ask for references of breeders. Go to http://www.gsdca-wda.org/ to find responsible breeders. Brittany
