My Primerica office: Laguna Hills
My RVP: Don
My thoughts about Primerica: Avoid it!! I joined PFS some months ago and completed all my classes. My license actually should've been taken care of by now, but PFS lost my file. I now had to wait 4 months to take and pass the Life Exam.
PFS says they'll train you from the grounds up and how they want you to be successful. Don't buy into that! My trainer did absolutely nothing in these 4 months because as I see it there's a time limit for you to get the $199 back. During something called the Corporate Overview meeting speakers tell you you'll get reimbursed, but don't tell they HOW. Now, I was told I have to be part of 6 training appts. over the first 90 days to get that money back.
The problem is my trainer HASN'T set any appointments at all and I got no clue as to when, if at all, my training is supposed to happen. My $199 are lost. Also, the $199 for the Life Exam is not enough -- you still need to pay at some point later on for your Securities licenses without any reimbursement. And, you'll be asked join this and that meeting and convention -- adding costs, costs, costs.
Your trainer will talk to you about developing your team so you can grow your business. The more people are on your team the more commission you'll get. Sounds nice. Now, reality strikes. Your first major step is becoming what is called a District Leader -- have 3 personal recruits and be at least part of 4 successful appointments. That will give you a 50% contract and that means whatever business you make will give you 50% commission later on. How can you be a District Leader if your trainer doesn't really want to train you although you're willing?
Meanwhile, you're recruiting to build your team!! Sure, as I see it when your trainer believes you have quite a "gold mine" on your team, there isn't really any incentive to train you because if your recruit gets ahead of you, then you lose that person from your team!! Your recruit is now part of your trainer's team and in effect is now your trainer's "gold mine."
I've been with PFS for several months!!!! Only recently, I passed the exam due to delays. I wanted to be District Leader, but my trainer HASN'T trained me yet!! I lost my $199 investment. One of my recruits is a "gold mine," but now she'll be ahead of me because my trainer HASN'T even taken the initiative to make me part of his appts. which would give me the credits to move up in the hierarchy.
Lastly, if they promise to train you, don't be surprised to find yourself waiting for your trainer between 1-2 hours outside at their door waisting time again! Well, what is even more annoying: You know your trainer is in the house and doesn't want to answer the door! Recruiting is another part of that training. Recruit, recruit, recruit.
You'll have memorized what to say at what time. The interviews you're going to conduct sound like sales pitches -- "if the time and money were right..." Do you really hire a person by luring them with money? You'll feel desperate to find a few people you can then convince to put their signature on the application forms.
I've been there. I know what I'm saying. Your trainer is NOT interested in training you, but wants to snatch your golden recruits from you because whatever business they'll make in the future, the upline will get a percentge (and referrals for more business).
That's how it works. How sorry is that?
