PSI Institute Susan Bakersmith Fraid Silver Spring Maryland
My name is Susan Stephens. I attended PSI Institute in 1990 through 1991. I fell in default with my loan 1991 or 1992. The US Government took my Tax Return in 1993 I was pregnant with twins. I later Consolidated my loan with the Department of Education. I believe around 1998 they sent me a letter saying the School Defrauded students. Which they did. I filled out all the paper work sent it back and my loan was forgiven due to this. I was told that I could not get my taxes back so I left it alone. They took almost $2,800.00 plus I paid $800.00 and something from my pocket. I want to know why after all these years I could not get back the money that was taken from me. I recently tried to reenroll in school and I was told I had a defaulted students loan. I didnt even know about all this time. Mildred Elley helped me get this fixed. Saying that I did not owe a loan and I was advised I should be able to get my taxes back. I tried to get a loan for my son before this and was denied now I know why. Which I think is very unfair to my son and me. I really want to sue after all these years I am still paying the price for attending that school. My son had to change his plans and go to a local School. I want to know if there is anything I can do about this and I want my money back that was taken. Please help me if you can.
