I have paid for a Climate controlled storage unit with Public Stoirage Located in Kennesaw, GA. I have had the storage unit for over 13 years woithout any problems until this spring. I last checked on my unit in March where everything was perfectly fine no mold issues. The storage facility changed their policy on what the theromstats settings would be set during the summer months. They set the temp at 80 degrees which did not provide adequate air conditioning during this wet humid Summer. Public Storage manager said that 80 degrees was the corporate setting for all facilities.
After I logged a complaint with the front office a month ago they said that they would take care of the clean up or lead my family to believe this. I ended up having to file a claim with my insurance company. Yesterday 9-54-2013 i went back to my unit with the insurance adjuster and they have dropped the air conditioning down to 75 degrees so now they are providing the service for which I contracted...CLIMATE CONTROL unofrtunately it is too late for my belongings as they are at a total loss.
This Company is fraudlent in ststind that they are a climate controlled facility it is a BOLD FACE LIE and fraud.

Climant controlled means that the climate is a STEADY climate. It doesnt state that there is going to be a set temp. It just means that you wont have widly shifting climates. Such as 100 one day and 60 the next. It means a STABLE climate. And thats what you got. I cant speak to the damages you have, Im not there. But 80 is usually the norm. Warm enough to be comfortable but not too warm as to make you want to sweat. Your post SHOULD be pointing out about humidity. Unfortunatly if you live in a high humidity area there isnt much that your storage ppl can do. Even if the area is sealed up. ppl still have to come and go in the area exposing everything to humidity. It takes some special equipment to "de-humidify" the air on a level that you are expecting.
