If you dislike the place so much, get your stuff out and put it someplace else. I am sure this is not the only storage facility in the area.

First of all I know for a fact that under any state law u cannot auction property unless it's 60 days late. Which means you didn't pay. If your property is worth thousands then u should always pay on time. After 30 days of delinquency storage companies have the right to place a lien on your contents and cut the lock to inventory contents from the outside. If you told them you changed your address did you put it in writing? Under the privacy act you cannot change a customers information unless it's in writing and signed. I know for a fact that storage companies, especially public storage, must send letters and make 6 calls before any auctions. All your troubles could have been avoided if you would have just paid on time.
