Pure Weight Loss took my money & ran Horsham Pennsylvania
I signed up with LA Weight Loss in April cause I hit rock bottom with my weight. I went to La weight loss and had a consultation with a weight counselor. Well, my husband & I thought this was worth the money. However, we didn't realize that the lite bars were so expensive (at least twice the amount that the program cost). Well, I lost weight and I felt that this was the best diet I had ever been on. When I went to get weighed in on Friday (Dec 14 2007), the manager was beside herself because she had just been informed that the company had gone bankrupt, and the center was closing. She was furious because she found out that the centers outside of New York had closed 2 weeks prior and she wasn't informed until Thursday 12/13/07. She gave me a form to send to the company for a refund but didn't know what was going to happen. She also gave me the information I would need to complete my weight loss process (the next plan, stabilization & maintenance phase). She wished me luck & said that I would be fine because I had the knowledge & willpower needed to suceed.
When we said goodbye we both started to cry. So I feel that the employees were also duped by these scumbags. I hope the government gets these people and make them pay everyone back and the some.

Employees at center level did just find out about the closing....... LA / PURE corporate offices informed all upper management on October 3,2007 stating that Area Supervisors no longer had their positions. They were told that they could remain in center as Managers while they made some cut backs and that this was temporary. The pay was dropped by at least 90%. On October 26,2007 The Regionals and Divisionals informed that the centers were not getting any better and to start looking for other jobs, however to still sell sell sell sell... What kind of person would stick around and sell programs and product knowing they would be closing the doors? This is when the clients started to see the most dramatic change. The employees were told that they could be laid off. ( more lies ) SURPRISE!!!!!! HR department stated to unemployment that we all quit. I am curious as to who will be completing the " employee change forms " for everyone at corporate on Jan 4th. I bet it will be the new hires from PURE RAIN. My rent is late, Former Employee
