Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
In March and April and erroneous charge of $17.70 showed on my bill. I called several times and to several different companies. I was told not to pay the bill and it would be credited, by Qwest. NEVER CREDITED.

Then we moved... Charged for connect fee yet no one came out. We have called several times from our cell phones, when the phone service would stop working. Every time it rains it doesn't work for about 6 hours. EVERY TIME. Yet, no one has either returned a call or been to inspect. We were told when service was connected that if there was a problem, someone would be out and it would be included in the connect charges. How many phone calls does it take to have someone figure out why when it rains, I have no phone. So, I have been billed now for a connect fee that was never verified after repeated phone calls reporting problems. I even stopped a Qwest guy on my street one day because of this. I was told he would report it but that he could not fix it because it was not on his job list.

Then, we got a notice of disconnect for service that rarely works. We called. The credits had not been made and our service was going to be disconnected if we didn't pay the past due amount. Made arrangements to "mail a payment" for a bill we did not partially owe. They wrote it in the computer wrong and disconnected it anyway. Then charged me a $25 fee after reconnecting it. The lady I spoke with specifically said she would not charge it because it was their error.

Still phone not working when it rains... still no one out to inspect... still getting billed a full month. Still no credit for the charges I did not authorize or order.

Phone gets disconnected again. Past due charges. I refused to pay for the connect fee or the erroneous billing or the $25 reconnect fee added to my bill from the last time. Now, I start writing e-mails to make a paper trail. I had to pay all of it to get it reconnected. Why don't I charge them $25 everytime it rains and my service goes out?

Now I have some smart a*s belittling me for not paying my bill. This is a direct quote from an email from QWEST.

"When we connect service, very often it is the case that the wires to the house are already in place and we simply have to get the dial tone working on them. The activation charge is the same whether we have to send out a technician or not. If we activated your service and you do not have dial tone inside your home, you may request that we send a technician to your home. If we verify that our service is working up to the box on the house, you will pay $85 for that technician visit whether

or not the inside wiring is fixed.

You have the right to refuse to pay for your service. We have the right to refuse to provide your service when your account has outstanding past due charges"

I have a right to report rip-offs, PETER AT QWEST!!!!!
