I was one of many people that got scammed into this vacation package. After reading many of these complaints, I want to get a refund for my $698 that I paid for the initial down payment.

I called to cancel and they hung up due to frustration. What is the2nd step I should do? My dad bought the same package the same day after he received a card also. We both feel so silly that we bought this package - like father like daughter.

Well, we both want to cancel this because we are financially struggling, have no one to sell this to, and cannot afford this. I just got tricked into buying this package and got charged $698.

I live in CA and I will not fork out so much money for this trip that I will not enjoy. Plus, no one to go with. I just graduated college and I'm really broke. Please help me...

Listen, I too signed up for this Vacation last week and had second thoughts just moments after I did it. I checked with the better business bureau as well as this website and made a decision to call back and ask for a refund. I spoke with several people last week who either didn't know what to say or do, or put me on hold and never returned. I too got frustrated. I decided to make one last try this morning before I decided to call my credit card company. First of all, I decided to call and be firm yet polite. I listened carefully to everyone's name as they answered the phone and wrote it down. Times as well. I wrote down key things that they told me. When I spoke to Joan today I was able to tell her the names of everyone that I spoke to last week. What they said to me, how long I was on hold, when the line went dead, who told me to call back in an hour. Joan did try to convince me to go on with the trip however she was very polite and realized that I would not be changing my mind. She told me and I do believe that I will be receiving a credit to my credit card in 7 - 10 days. My advice is keep strict documentation of names, times and what you were told and be firm. If they see that you are organized and detailed they will probably not give you as hard of a time than if you are quiet and passive. You can get your money back!!!!!.

If you used a credit card, 1st get in contact with them, usually the merchant resolution dept. and tell them what happened and that RPR is refusing to give you your money back. I had my credit card company place the phone call, and listen in while I spoke to them, and they heard for themselves that they didn't have a reason as to why they could not give me back my money. Next in case that doesn't work, I filed three reports all of which I sent to my credit card company, the 1st with the Federal Trade Comm, which you can do right online,(make sure you print them all so you can send them to your bank or cc) next with your state's atty general's office, ask for the fraud dept, and the most important one, The Fla atty general's office fraud dept, their phone number is 1-866-966-7226, after I filed with them a woman named Joanne Kraynak made sure I got my money back. Her personal office number is 1-850-414-3600. Good Luck and I hope this helps Jolene
