Reader's Across America - Don't be fooled by the Magazine Scam!!! Denver Colorado
On Jan, 13, 2008 I was visited by a couple of really good con artists selling magazine subscriptions. My first instinct was to turn them away but it was extremely cold out side and icy so I decided to allow them in my home to warm themselves and to give me their spill about why they were there and what they were selling.
Well, they told me they were working on a point system and the money they earn would allow them to go to college. Being a teacher and knowing how important a college education is, I decided to take a subscription. I even allowed these gentalmen to use my bathroom and have a cup of hot chocolate.
Now here it is March 2 and I still have no magazine or letter from the company stating that I would ever get my subscription. I called them and was put on hold for one hour. I called them again and was put on hold for about 15 minutes before being told that they would contact the sales reps to see what was going on and call me back.
Now, I still have no magazines and all I have is a receipt showing that they are paid for. I am mad and going to continue the effort of getting what I am owed.
