You have no one to blame but yourself here.
There should have been no conversation except to return that set to RAC as soon as you noticed a problem with it.
Are you totally stupid? A defect ON DELIVERY and you accept it???
And, RAC does not make TV's so the complaint here should go equally to Hitachi.
Factory warranties on TV's are rarely more than a year on parts, and rarely more than 90 days on labor. That's why you ALWAYS buy the aftermarket extended warranty on any TV nowadays to get your parts and labor covered for like 3 years. And, IN HOME repair too!
I spotted that you are an idiot when you used "prolly" in your original report. That tells me that you are both lazy and stupid.
Anyone who uses rent to own stores as a means of owning an item is a total moron as well.
Don't be such a lowlife and you won't have these type of problems.
