Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
This person who uses the name Lisa Border and the email [email protected] is now a wanted criminal. The person contacted me based on a request for a rental in a part of Rome. The story was TOO good to be true and please heed my advice, if it sounds too good to be true it is. He or she first contacted me with an offer and photographs of a place in a very expensive and trendy area. Told me "she" only wanted 400 euros for the property---which is about 2K less than the value of the rental. It was a large, beautiful fully equipped and all inclusive flat---internet, utilities, satellite, name it. It was like a dream come true. "She" alleged that "she" only wanted to have a responsible person and was NOT in it for the money. Being half European I know a British accent and British speech. She would not answer questions like how large it was, she did not want to have a conversation, acted very cautious but used a few choice British expressions though the English the person used was clearly that of someone who marginally spoke English. "She" claimed she was half Italian and half British, but lived in Britain, "she" even went so far as to offer to collect me from the airport. I smelled something rotten and had the internet police (there is an internet investigation unit) notified. They were able to trace the ip address and the person hopefully will be taken care of soon. I went so far as to allow them to tell me how we would exchange the keys and also how I would make the deposit. Well I gave a false name and address and luckily I did as "she" then requested I send her Milan based lawyer a western union. I said that was unusual and I would gladly wire the money, or even use paypal but "she" insisted I use Western Union. At this point they got what they needed and I advised her she was busted or he. I also found several advertisements for a flat in Milan as well and a history of this person defrauding men on dating sites. Beware, she or he will surely continue and will probably use a new email address.
