I have been a customer of Restaraunt Equipment and Supply, formerly American Ice Machines, for almost 10 years. Mike Stuart has always dealt with me honestly, fairly, and professionally. Bob Lomax has always managed any needed on-sight repairs in a timely manner and always does a good job.
Obviously there was some sort of misunderstanding to lead to such conclusions and I wasn't there so I don't really know. They have always given me a fair deal, a good price, and they have always done whatever they have said they would.

The first rebuttal to the original report contained many logical fallacies. Perhaps he lacked the education to express himself via written speech, and that would still be a red flag for me, but I had a real difficult time making any sense of the 1st rebuttal. It also makes me wonder if it was a disgruntled employer writing so fast and with such fury that he couldn't keep his thoughts straight, preventing him from expressing complete thoughts and sentences. Finally, I couldn't help getting the impression that it was a desperate attempt to cover his own a**. I appreciate the original report though; calm, to the point, very few fallacies. It sounded and felt like a fair warning, I will never go to that company for anything.

I stand by my account of what I was told to do and saw happen in the time I worked for Mike Stuart (not pruit) I wouldn't buy anything from these crooks nor recommend them. I walked into a job the day after I left them and was promoted to senior tech a month later and make considerably more money and I did it by maintaining my ethics aand integrity.
I knew Bob and Mike much longer than that but never had to do any business with them prior to then. So, I stand by what I saw while I worked there.

Tulsa,#5UPDATE EX-employee responds
Sun, December 25, 2011
I do realize this complaint was logged some time ago. However; had I known of it sooner, I would have never allowed such to go unchallenged.
I too worked for this company off and on for well over three years and it was with the understanding that my employment was secure as long as sales could accommodate such.
Bob Lomax is one of Mike Pruitt's most loyal, trusted, and proven employees. He would never simply steal anything from Mike or one of his own customers. Were there ever anything Bob may have needed or wanted, Mike would have probably just given it to him. Furthermore, Bob Lomax was usually the person who handled repossessions lack of payment. To out and out call him a thief is slanderous.
Knowing Bob as well as I do, were you asking questions about company policies and procedures or decisions made which your position was did not warrant you so knowing, he would not have out and out told you anything. You say you were only there a short time and Bob trusted you with damning information detrimental to his employment? This is ill-founded, ignorant, and lacking any fruitful thought as that could only mean that he so trusted you as a participant of his criminal activities.
I am not absolutely certain which location the complainant was employed at as I am uncertain as to how such information may be updated within ripoff report. I can however say with some measure of certainty that by this time most of the used equipment was being rejected based upon clean-ability.
Furthermore, I know that both Mike and Bob require equipment be tested before it is shipped to a customer. Why? Because it is a hell of a lot easier to replace any needed parts in-house before it reaches the customer. Equipment can often be difficult to access, having to accommodate for customer employees who must come first, or depending upon the time of day, you could end up covered in grease, food bits, etc.
For the most part, Bob always tried to test and approve equipment for delivery himself. That wasn't always possible. If a piece of equipment left the store without being tested and/or malfunctioning it was ALWAYS because he had delegated the task to an employee, anticipating and trusting it would be done in a timely manner.
Mike Pruitt is rather particular about with whom and in whose presence he discusses his working relationships with manufacturers and distributor. Information which a vengeful, spineless, whiny employee or ex-employee might use to destroy the company. You would have been asked to leave the room or directed to a task elsewhere so he could have a discussion with his service manager, etc.
I have witnessed Mike and Bob both performing warranty repairs for customers months after a warranty had expired. The needs of a good customer always came first.
You were only briefly employed there? This only happens if an employee isn't able or adequately competent to perform the job. If the employee is simply too lazy to do the job. If the employee is given a task expecting completion to take a couple months and he completely works himself out of a job in less than two weeks. And it would be considered but carried too much entertainment value and a morale boost should the employee fall into a creek. Quite honestly your whining is evidence of your not working yourself out of a job, I know you didn't fall in the creek. Your own ignorance exposes you as either inadequate, lazy, or too incompetent to do the job. Traits which are unable to co-exist in a working environment including real, true, honorable men.
