Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
This store is selling defective appliances. I assumed I was buying a new washer. Not the case. The washer they sold me does not work. Store wants to charge me delivery chrages to bring me another washer. I did nothing wrong !! Why do I have to pay more money to get what I purchased in the first place? Consumers beware! Do not shop here, go someplace else.

As a former manager with Rex TV I can attest to the fact that you have customers who call about their "blankety-blank ______ piece of crap " you have sold them when in fact MOST of the time improper performance is due to improper use or installation. Rex TV caters to the folks who want the best price NOT folks who want free installation and consumer instruction classes with home visits to show you how to use the item. I however ALWAYS went above and beyond to help the folks who truly needed my help and ASKED for it...not DEMANDED it. I never had a problem telling problem customers to bring it back and give them their money back because I didn't want these people constantly calling and complaining. GO TO WAL-MART! Case in point: I had a customer who had purchased a Panasonic TV/VCR combo for their son, played it 27/7 without ever cleaning the heads for 2yrs and then came in demanding that I would REPLACE it or else when it stopped working!!! Try buying a new car, driving it for 2 yrs without EVER changing the oil and then try to return it or report it as a lemon. See what happens! I sent her TV back to Panasonic, had it repaired and called the customer. Imagine the customer's delight when the repair bill came to a couple of hundred dollars. Stated on Panasonic's receipt- Improper use and lack of maintenance! However, if this customer would have came in and asked...ASKED!!!... me to help, admitted that they were not using the TV/VCR as designed I would have took it apart right there, cleaned it, checked it out and possibly would've REPLACED it just for good customer relations. Remember the old adage...you get more flies with sugar than with vinegar. Try being polite and asking for help instead of throwing your weight around trying to prove yourself as the GREAT NEGOTIATOR to your friends and family. You might get better results. ps-Phil Kellar won't help you with crap. He was my regional VP and he only cares about Phil Kellar. Try to build a relationship with the store manager as they sometimes bend the rules to keep customers happy and get referrals. I sure did!

#3Consumer Suggestion

Thu, August 05, 2004

I HAVE DONE BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY FOR MANY YEARS AND THEY DO THIS FROM TIME TO TIME. A QUICK SUGGESTION BEFORE CAUSING A SCENE IF IT IS A WHIRLPOOL OR ROPER WASHER MAKE SURE THE PIN FROM SHIPPING WAS COMPLETELY REMOVED. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN ATTACHED TO A STRAP AT THE BACK OR THE SIDE OF THE UNIT. YOU CAN NOT JUST CUT THE STRAP YOU HAVE TO PULL IT OUT AND MAKE SURE THE PIN CAME OUT AS WELL. IT WOULD CAUSE THE WASHER TUB NOT TO SPIN AND MAKE A BUNCH OF WIERD NOISES. THE STORE MAY NOT HAVE ASKED YOU IF YOU HAD DONE THIS IF YOU CALLED THEM IN A RAGE. ALSO MAKE SURE YOU ARE TALKING TO THE MANAGER AND THAT HE HAS BEEN WITH THE COMPANY LONG ENOUGH TO KNOW HOW TO HELP YOU. TRY TO BE NICE TO THE SALESMAN/MANAGER THEY ARE ONLY FOLLOWING PROCEDURE. THE COMPANY HAS A TENDANCY TO TREAT THEM THE SAME IN OTHER WORDS CUT CORNERS AT THIER EXPENSE ANY WAY THEY CAN. ASK THE MANAGER FOR THE DISTRICT MANAGERS PHONE # iF HE IS STILL OF NO HELP TO YOU THEN ASK FOR PHIL KELLER. HE IS THE VP OF THE AREA AND WOULD NOT HEAR OF SUCH A THING.
