Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I replied to a job oppurtunitie, found out they were sending money orders worth $5700, I did receive them, but, now they want me to send $4800 to 2 different people in Africa, I am to keep the rest for myself. The money ordes look real, there are 6 of them for $950 each. I dont know if this is fraud, or laundering money, cause it is to be sent to Africa. I dont want to get into any trouble with these, and dont know what to do. the person who sent the money orders is : Richard Robinson, from a company : Ryan Newman Textile & Art Company. He claims his business is in Europe, but, I need to know if this is legit or a scam and what to do if it is scam. I'm to keep $900 of the money using some of it for wiring fees to wire to 2 differnt people and keep the rest. Please let me know as soon as possible about this.

Thanks

Yes it is a ripoff. The money orders you have are worth absolutely nothing. And the money you wire to this con will be gone forever while you have to pay off the bogus money orders when they come back to your bank as phoney. Just because the bank may give you money for them does not mean they are good. Turn the fake money orders over to the bank or FBI. If something seems to good to be true................

DO NOT cash the checks or send money overseas!!!Everything I have read about this type of thing indicates that you are the potential victim of a scam. The money orders/checks you received may look legit, but they are most likely fradulent. The accounts are probably real accounts, but the checks/money orders are forgeries. If you happen to deposit those checks in your bank, it will appear that they clear after 3-4 days; however, the checks have only cleared *your* bank, not the bank they were drawn on. Should you happen to send the money requested overseas (did they ask for it via Western Union? That's usually a tipoff), in a month or so, when the fraudulent checks do not clear their home banks, you will not only be 100% out the money you sent overseas, but you may be liable for passing bad checks and/or receiving stolen funds. Some scam victim advocates have suggested that even being in possession of the checks is criminal. Please do some Internet research on "419 scam" and "advance fee scam" and I'm sure you will find helpful information. Good luck.

Tammy, it's a fraud.

You are asked to deposit the money orders then withdraw a certain percentage of the funds to wire back. A week or so later your bank notifies you that the money orders are fraudulent and you are on the hook to the bank to pay back the funds. Destroy the money orders. They are useless.

The money orders are bogus. Call the issuer of the money orders. It's fraud. You'll lose $5700.00 if you follow through.
