RVE Salesman
Atlanta,#2UPDATE Employee ..inside information

I have been with this company for close to 2 years now. I have seen people come and many people go. About 90 percent of the people who don't make it are not hitting the sales Quotas. Obviously from the one employee housing was paid for, and if nothing else this is an expense. We are required to hit certain numbers, and ask any roofing company, 7 roofs in 4 months time is terrible.
If you have to take a job some where else, you are not devoting time "every night". People expect to get paid without the work.
If you sell, roofing, siding, gutters, interior work, our job as a sales rep is to get all photos measurements up front and have it all ready. Many times reps will sell jobs and not have proper information, so when crew shows up for job they do not have everything they need because the rep messed up, causing a delay in production. Costing everybody time and money
I have waited a while to get paid on some jobs, sure, but that is the nature of this business. Some times the insurance takes forever to pay, or customers hold out the final check because you did not sweep there back porch good enough, or something stupid.
But i have NEVER had a penny withheld that I was promised for doing my job. For closing my jobs. For managing all trades.
If I mess up and don't get needed information up front, I lose money, but that is EVERY job, you screw up, you lose out.
Derric from RVE is a very patient person, and lets people prove themselves, the people who have posted this information I would feel very confindent to say did not meet the requirements of the company, and had no intentions of doing so.
In the roofing industry you either make it happen or you don't. People who have worked here complain they cant afford gas, so they stay home to save $40 and wonder why they are not getting a check.
People leave the company and jobs half done, with no photos, measurements, and uneducated customers, and expect to be paid when someone else has to step up, and resume the work and close it out. Those new reps taking on this responsibilitys need to be paid to clean up old reps bagage.
There are also compensation plans which have involved draws, where you get money up front and if you do not earn enough commission to cover it, you do not get paid. Simple as that.
So many people have gotten paid but it was just up front, and many reps actually owe money when they leave. Anyway, I think RVE is great. Just sell like you should and there are no problems

My experience was similar to your's. I worked for them for six months. In that six months I did close to a quarter million in sales. Half of those sign and files were never processed by the company. I had a hundred percent buy rate with the insurance companies, and never let an adjustor walk away without approving the job.
Of the jobs that were completed I only recieved compensation for my sign and files. Never once was I paid my full commission. As of now they still owe me around ten thousand dollars for completed work, but am unable to contact anyone with the company other than the receptionist.
Please, if anyone is ever approached by this company, either for repairs or for a job tell them to pound salt. Their crews are unskilled and often do more damage than repairs.
