Rob Marker Steel-tech - EDR No contact after taking construction deposit indications of high dollar fraud Austin Texas
Rob responded to a craigslist ad for build a non-residential steel building. He came with a good corporate resume and a good bid on the building.
On 6/6/2008, he took a $1600 deposit for engineered foundation plans and a construction schedule.
He produced non-engineered plans, when asked for stamped plans, he indicated that he's mail them.
I've been unable to reach Mr. Marker since. I've left several messages for him and have sent him emails. His phone rings, but he will not answer his calls.
Most of his references do not come back as valid. At least one is a circular reference that resolves to an Amber Davidson at his same business address.
Tracing him via State of Texas taxID, I've been in contact with someone that says he has engaged in over $100k in fraud and that I should prosecute as quickly as possible.
He has several business websites. All of the addresses seem to be invalid and numbers forward:
His Texas builders license is expired. His DUNS number refers to a business where a drug store exists.
