I bought a complete dash out of a 1941 Chevy from some one else and after much discussion by e-mail with Robert Waller, I sent the dash to him to have it fully restored.   Robert (Bob) was going to remove all fittings, fill in extra holes in the dash and then paint it in the original wood grain finish.   He was going to have all the chrome re-done and then assemble all the pats and send me a dash that only needed to be fitted to the car. 

 On the 2nd of November 2017 he confirmed that he received the dash and promised to send me photos of the dash to show me the condition he received it in. He had received a few days before the 2nd of November.   Even with being reminded many times, he never sent me photos of the dash to show how it was received.   After that I have sent him many many e-mails asking about progress of the dash and some times I have had to keep re-sending the same e-mail many times over to receive a response. 

 Some times he replied a long time later and always had some crazy excuse as to why he was late in replying or why the job was taking long.   He said his daughter had a difficult pregnancy and was in hospital, he said he had a storm which caused damage, he said his mother died, he said his brother died on his mothers birthday etc. 

 After waiting many many months and sending so many e-mails, I pushed him and said that I need the dash back. On the 31st of July 2018 that is 8 months after having received the dash, he told me it was finally complete and he sent me a PayPal invoice for $2,835.50 This was paid.   After payment I asked him for photos of the completed das, which he had promised to send, in the discussions a few days befor which lead up to him saying it was complete.   

He sent me 2 photos. One which showed a bare painted dash with no fittings at all and the other of the ashtray cover painted. He had promised to show me the completed and assembled dash but he did not.   After that he just went quiet. No response to e-mails, messages left on his voice mail, calls made to his mobile, text messages sent to his mobile, whatsapp messages sent to his mobile.   25 days after payment and still no response from him, I filed a claim with PayPal. 

 He responded in the claim, saying that one chrome part of the dash was scratched while packing it into the box and that he has sent that piece off to be chromed.   In the claim, I responded saying show me photos of the complete dash, with the damaged piece missing and witha piece of paper showing my name also inthe photo.   After this, he stopped responding.   I now see that so many others have had problems with bob Waller of classic auto services in the past and all along these lines.
