Rock bottom costumes nighttime creations I purchased Gene Simmons replica dragon boots. On March 6. I haven't received boots and Barry Carr has been hostile to me. Farmington Kentucky
On March 6th. I sent a certified check to Barry Carr. For the purchase of replica Gene Simmons Dragon boots. They cost 1,025 dollars. After about two or three weeks I would call to get any updates. And was told another two weeks. Finally after I was tired of the old the check/boots are delayed in the mail routine. I called up and left a voicemail I said that I wanted my boots by that Friday or I wanted my money back. He called back within 15 minutes screaming that the boots were stuck in customs in mexico???? And that I better respect him and he wasn't a crook.
Well, than I filed a report with the BBB. They did nothing to get my money back. And Barry called and texted 4 threatning messengers. Stating I better drop this case with the BBB or he would take legal action against me. He would sue me for slander and file charges against me for harrasment. About two weeks ago he sent a text with a picture of a box stating that the boots were going to be sent in a few days. My girlfriend whos also tired of this creep wrote him back. Saying how do we know theres anything even in the box. Regardless, we haven't heard from Barry Carr or gotten any boots. And he has steadfast refused a refund.
Here,s the thing Barry is screaming and threathning is all a smokesreen to cover up the fact hes a crook. Although the bbb didn't help much. I did learn that Rock bottom costumes got a F rating. And that he had done this to another person with a similar complaint. Same bS. AHe thinks he can keep the money by stating all of these delays and at the same time refusing my money back. I would apperciate any help you can give. Thank you. .

motorcowboy.com is a rip off! (gary evans jim evans = same guy)
i contacted motorcowboy for a destroyer armour costume. he sent me to contact a person in kentucky named barry carr. so, in short gary evans does not feel responsible for sending me to mr. carr who has ripped me off for $2,500.00 dollars in vintage kiss collectables. gary evans has used ebay pages to pull this same scam. barry carr is known in the kiss collectables trading circles as a psycho-wack job who belittles, threatens and harasses people into deals where he eventually rips them off. postal authorities have complaints dating back to 1997 @ the chicago postal authorities.
anyway, for the past 4 months mr. carr was supposed to send me a gene 'destroyer' armour. pictured on his blog page as well as the motorcowboy.com website (zoovy.com) and ebay pages under the names (brogary, apologetix2000, kissfan_1_1976 etc.) and other blog pages.
when you go to view the pages you'll see a very impressive display of un-authorized kiss costumes and mannequins in full replica costumes... but that is the trick they employ to get kiss tribute bands and fans alike to send them business. this is called 'bait and switch'. when you finally get the finished product it is NOT what was pictured and not what you ordered.
the items i got from them were the worst example i've ever seen. barry carr is a hack. the items i returned. mr. carr claims he did not get the arms for the costume and that it was broken... a total lie, as the items were sent from postal authorities in pasadena california... certified.
mr. carr has threatened to do bodily harm to me on several occasions. he has filled my phone message system with his delusional rantings and madness. i have filed charges with hollywood police for his threats, as well as the postal authorities and the computer crime center in association with the fbi.
i have all e-mails, certified mailing receipts and all items i've sent were insured.
i sent;
4 kiss pencils (sealed)
6 1978 mego dolls,
4 1978 signature stick pins,
8 paul ink pens (sealed)
all above insured for $2,000.00
4 solo aucoin kiss key chains (mint) insured for $500.00
for the armour (armor) pictured on the barry carr blog pages and the motorcowboy.com pages as well as the ebay pages they are using to rip people off with.
some of my items have been put up on ebay the same week mr. carr received them and ebay has refused to remove the stolen items form thier website. ebay has harassed my e-mail with responses from 20 diferent employees about this issue instead of removing the illegal stolen items.
in short ebay, motorcowboy.com, gary/jim evans and barry carr of kentucky are a web of theives who are using the internet as a way to scam fans of kiss, batman, starwars and other movie icons by using this tactic to steal from customers. motorcowboy.com claims to sell boots... boots they claim come from thailand... another way to skirt the law since u.s. authorities have no legal action overseas. but, gary lives in oak harbor wa. and barry carr is in kentucky.

Today,Mr Carr texted threatning messages to my girlfriend . That If I didn't remove this file he would take legal action. I'm sick and tired of Mr carr playing the victim. He has My Money. He has refused a refund. Has not sent any boots. And I'm sick of it. Nobody has slandered his company. Nobody has Harrassed him. On the contrary he has caused all the trouble. He texted last week stating he would mail the boots by no later than monday. So, I'm not surprised by his timeing. BTW, I wrote this complaint in mid june. Now out of the blue he decides to not mail the boots. I'm sick and tired of this. Mr Carr if your reading this I will take legal action. Don't worry. If you were honest and sent the boots. I would be glad to report that. But your a thief. BTW, is mr Dingle also lying. Is the BBB wrong giving you a F rating or the complaint filed by someone else on the BBB site. Are they lying also. You are a fraud!

Thanks Dingle for information. It's helpful. I just wish I knew all this back in march. I never would have done bussiness with this crook. I will follow up with the info you gave me. But it might be a little difficult to send these text messages. As my girlfiend and I are not at all computer/tech savy. LOL. But I apperciate and will try to get it sent. I think I might have to go to Paducah, Kentucky. On my vacation and put a warrant out for him stealing my moneyI would rather not go to all this trouble .But it really iritates me .That he ripped me off of a item. I wanted since 1975. I feel bad for you because I know Barry and plenty of good, hard-woring people who have been scammed by him. Not everyone has unfortunate instances with this midget, but many do. Just Google his name or look up threads with his name on facebook. The amount of bad things that come up will astound you. Plenty of people who know and have dealt with him will tell you this guy belongs in an insane asylum.
A number of my friends have unfortunately had bad dealings with him. He is wonderful and all nice to his potential customers and as soon as he gets that money and things don't go his way or a customer becomes unhappy, complains or wants to alter his order, this guy GOES INSANE - sending threatening emails and texts. He will call and leave threats on your voicemail.
Too bad you didn't know who Barry's boot-maker is - he lives in Mexico. Mr. Carr contracts out a lot of his products.
You should have ordered the boots from kissreplicas.com - You could have got them at a lower price and they are better quality than Barry.
Almost all of the guys in the Kiss tribute bands know who Barry is and they WILL NOT deal with him.
Don't get me wrong, Barry can do some nice work at times, but he overcharges - his product isn't licensed, his timetables are not reasonable. He orders a lot of these products from other places, makes a bit himself and puts together his own packages with insane overheads - a lot of people have complained about the quality of his work. After awhile, any costume will need repair-but if you contact him, like my budy did, who had a cracked boot - this guy will go bananas on you.
Barry talks a big talk - and when you talk to him or read his website he is always slandering other costume makers. He even slanders Gene Simmons himself. The man has no business couth. No sensible businessman speaks like he does.
DO NOT DEAL WITH BARRY CARR - NIGHT TIME CREATIONS OR MOTOR COWBOY - YOU WILL BE SORRY. It is not worth the risk. His deamenor is horrid and unprofessional.
My friend who has his address and info turned him in to Gene's Attorney a couple of weeks ago. I heard he was being investigated. You can contact [email protected] also write to Gene's agent Mike Rose [email protected] and he will forward the letter to Gene's attorney. Make sure you send along the emails between you and Barry - along with his address and website link. Send any recorded info - like conversations or the voicemails which he may have left you.
It has been heard by a friend they are building a case against him.
