I placed my order on 1/23/10.  A month later I emailed them to see when my order would ship.  They didn't respond.  I started calling & emailing them almost every day to see when they would ship my order.  They still haven't responded to my inquiries.

Hello

Yes Shiela got her order not as long as she stated as it did take longer than normal but that can happen as she got in around 7 weeks. Sometimes there are delays or out of stock issues or missed orders it happens but we still rock on forward. There is an order coming for everyone there should be no worry over it. If it is taking longer yah contact us but still do not worry it will come. If you do not want to support a two man operation then so be it but if you do then yes order from us. We take longer than other large corporations b/c we are a small company. If you want a refund after the fact then sure why not, I have no problem in that, if you want the order that is even better. We at no time denied anyone of these people their money back if they asked for it.

Rollies won't get any more business from me

I finally got my order after 3 months.  If this "company" is so busy filling orders they cant respond to customer calls & emails & can't fill their orders on time, they need to hire more people to help them out.  I feel the only reason they sent my order was because I reported them to Ripoff Report.  I didn't get any response from them until I reported them.

The guy from Rollies that called me on a Sunday night at 9:15 PM asked me to say something nice about them on Ripoff Report because they were nice to me.  OK, here it is.  He was nice to me on the phone after I reported them to Ripoff Report.

I shop online all the time & normally get my orders within 2 weeks.  3 months is ridiculous.  I don't see how they stay in business.  I doubt they get repeat sales if they treat all their customers like this.  I sure won't be shopping on their website again.

Consumer worried about being in the same boat

#4Consumer Comment

I ordered from this company about three weeks ago and after running into these reports when googling the website (beacause the order staus link within their email didnt work) I became worried that I wouldn't get my order in a reasonable amount of time.

I looked into consumer protection laws in Canada and I found some information provided by The Canadian Bar Association (British Columbia Branch). I already missed the 7 day cancellation, considering not all information was provided in the "distance sales contract".

However, do we still have the right to cancel within 30 days if the product wasn't delivered and there is no specified date in the confirmation email they send you? (I believe the confirmation email would be considered the "distance sale contract") I dont have the patience to wait beyond 5 weeks for a small item when I can go buy a similar one locally.

What is a distance sales contract?
When you buy goods or services by phone or mail order or over the Internet, you are making a distance sales contract. The Business Practices & Consumer Protection Act says that before you enter into a distance sales contract, the seller must disclose the following things:

  • the sellers name, address and telephone number
  • the sellers email address, if available
  • a description of the goods or services
  • the total price and a detailed statement of the terms of payment
  • the date the goods or services will be supplied
  • the currency under which amounts owing are payable
  • an explanation of how the goods will be shipped to you
  • the sellers return or exchange policy, if any

You must be given a copy of the contract
To be legally binding, you must receive a copy of the contract within 15 days after making it. An email copy is sufficient. The contract must contain the information that the seller was required to disclose to you before you bought the goods or services, along with the following:

  • your name as the consumer
  • the date of the contract

Can you cancel a distance sales contract?
Yes. You may cancel in the following circumstances:

  • If the seller doesnt disclose the required information or the contract doesnt contain it, you have up to seven days after receiving the contract to cancel it.
  • If you dont get a copy of the contract within the 15 days after making it, as required, then you have up to 30 days to cancel it.
  • If you dont receive the product you ordered within 30 days of the supply date, or the date the contract was made if no supply date was provided, you may cancel the contract.

Finally responded but still haven't shipped

I contacted Ripoff Report Saturday 3/6 & Rollies called me Sunday night 3/7 at 9:15 PM.  He told me my order would ship this week & then I could update my claim on Ripoff Report.  Apparently the only reason he called was because of this report.

I checked the status of my order online & it still hasn't shipped.  I've called & left voicemails & emailed them.  Of course they still haven't called or emailed me back.

If they're so busy they can't get their orders out in a timely manner or speak to their customers, they should hire more people.
