Rosemary Albright Mean and unprofessional Seymour Indiana
I worked at a public school in Seymour, Indiana. I was an assistant there for a brief time. I don't want to name the school because I don't want the others that work there to be judged based on my experience with one person. I will say that before I started working there I was warned about a few people and told that they could be harsh. Rosemary was one of them. I was told she puts on a fake nice demeanor but to be careful. She became angry with the way I dealt with a student. I didn't feel I was wrong and neither did the other teachers I worked with. They even blew it off as, "That's just Rosemary" Outside of my own children I don't have a lot of experience with kids and schools. She came to me angrily and attacked me.
She even told me to go find a job somewhere else because they didn't need me there. She actually said that to me. I wasn't mean to the child or do anything wrong at all. Nothing I did was addressed by the principal or my boss, the title one person. No one else said a word to me about it. I just didn't handle it a certain way and she thought that she needed to let me know. She was borderline vicious to me, hurt my feelings badly, and resulted in me quitting that school year. It has really bothered me ever since that another adult could treat an adult like she did. I was told that she treated a kindergarten teacher the year before the same way. She isn't the boss there. She's just another teacher. Why does she think she should be allowed to be so mean? and why does the boss allow her to be?
You would have thought I was a criminal and that she was a police officer. Since that time I've stayed in contact with other aides that work there. I have heard from others who have worked there or that still do that over the years she has had run ins with several people even bosses. The bad part is that she puts on a front of being kind and Christian. She even posts scripture and Christian things on her facebook page. I have deleted her because it hurts me every time I see it because I know the fakeness. If you have been hurt by her no that the school she works at is a great place to be and don't judge the teachers by her. She remained distant the rest of the time I worked there and I overheard her talking about me one day and putting me down.
