During a Carnival cruise to Cozumel, Mexico we were recommeded a private beach by our waiter. Upon arriving at the resort we were approached about a vacation club package that could be purchased. The deal proposed to us seemed too good to be true. It was. Let me first say that while they are talking they are pumping very strong cocktails into you, which I believe "loosens you up" for the final blow. We were told that Royal Holiday had an agreement with American Express. That if we paid the down payment that day anything charged by them to our American Express account, would not incur interest and that we would receive additional money to cover $2,000.00 in airfare to accompany the package we were purchasing. When we told them we wanted to go back to the ship and discuss it further, we were told that the offer they were making was a one time deal, and that a decision was needed right then. Hindsight now shows me that we should have walked away right then. It is now blatantly obvious that they did not want us to check them out, or we would have seen the other posting on this site.

Upon returning home we made a call to confirm the agreement and not only did they not have the agreement, they had never heard of the company. We then sent a letter to Royal Holiday to cancel our contract due to their outright lying to make the sale. However, were were informed that they do not cancel contracts for ANY reason. We were told that the entire balance of $23,250.00 would be sent to collections and would appear on our credit report.

When I told them that we would rather take it to court, than let them get it, we were told by Jason, their New Member Rep, that we would have to do so in the Mexican courts, and that by the time it got to a judge, he would have a lifetime vacation club package for free.

As you can see, not only do they use questionable if not illegal practices to get you to sign up, they also brag about paying off judges to keep you suck into the contract.

We could go on about the many conversations we have had with them, but it would take up the entire site to tell it all.

Stay away from any foreign companies, you do not know what their fair trade practices are or in our case if they even have any.

It is always best to hire someone skilled to do so, unfortunately in most cases these companies dedicated to cancel timeshares usually cheat for the second time to their customers since they are vulnerable and desperate. If you are thinking of hiring them you just have to make sure you do not have to make any payment upfront.

I found this article that speak precisely about this, you should read it, that might help you to resolve many doubts:
