My Wife and I were married in July 2008. One of the things she shared with me was a "scam" that had taken place while she and her mother, daughter, and father were on a cruise to the Bahamas.

She was at port in Cozumel and asked directions to the public beaches. She met someone who spoke English and was willing to assit her with directions. However, she was coaxed into watching a thirty minute video while her daughter was allowed to swim in a pool at the Hotel.

What she describes is what I have read from many that she felt she was being held hostage with very agressive sales pressure and techniques. Once the time arrived that she had to be back on the ship to continue the cruise, she signed up for a Club Vacation Plan.

I work in the Finance Industry and everything that I have read in the documetns points to this being a scam. She made a down-payment of $595 and a promise to pay $123.75 per month for 60 months.

She has never used the program and when she tries to contact a representative at Royal Holiday or Concord Servicing, she is continually harrassed. We closed the Checking Account that her automatic debits were coming from and she is willing to forego the payments made to get out of the harrassing telephone calls.

I hope this information is helpful to others that have similar experiences with Royal Holiday.

I bought a timeshare with Royal Holiday and they lied to me at everything, every time I check for travel dates are not available and it's cheaper to booked flight and hotel with Expedia. The service is really bad, I asked to speak to the manager and was told that I cannot talk to her and that I cannot cancel my membership.

Its been a nightmare for me!!! I was doing a research on internet about this fraudulent resort and how to get out of this fraud, i found this information and i want to share it with you, i hope it helps someone:

Royal Holiday Update - Complaint Filed with BBB of West Plam Beach Florida

#3Author of original report

I wanted to provide an update on my original report filed to let readers know of action taken since my original posting. After further review of information found on the Internet including this website, the interview segment by ABC's 20/20 on Royal Holiday, and information obtained from the US State Department, I decided to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of West Palm Beach Florida. Based upon my research, they actively take a role in helping resolve issues and are responsible for the Royal Holiday Main Office in the United States located in Miami, Florida. I have received my first response from Royal Holiday Club, which like many posts on this website is totally unacceptable. We are not asking for any money to be returned, we are simply asking to be free of the contract and additional payments that occur monthly and annually. I have closed the account of my wife, which the drafts are being made from and have researched the legality of Royal Holiday's contract. I will keep everyone posted on our progress. In closing, I cannot emphasize the importance of everyone that has made posts to this website to file a claim with the BBB of West Palm Beach Florida. They are excellent to work with and there is not cost to file a complaint. If enough of people file a report, we will all be relieved of this problem.
