I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Stay away.  If I could give them ZERO , I would.

Do business with anyone else – American Standard or even Sears  

Local A/C guy , that was supposedly their authorized dealer, installed it for us.   By the way, LEO from Air Breeze Inc. in California, placed photo of A+ logo for Better Business Bureau on YELP,  to deceive consumers,  but attract more attention, he is not accredited by BBB, I checked and he has no official rating. That is illegal to use BBB logo to show higher rating than you really have. So it's a lie.  

This company pushes RUUD products more than others.

They state that the unit that is made in US , they heavily advertise it, I even was given brochures that said it is a more superior product and best on the market. That it is more efficient than others and uses copper instead of aluminum, that suppose to last much longer. It worked fine for few years and then xxactly when my warranty expired, 1 month later it completely failed and I have no A/C or heater now.



We waited for over 3 months, and I gave them all the chances to make it right. They did not. He does not stand behind his work or the product they sold us.

I've been cheated and duped, he talked me into buying a very expensive A/C unit that turned out to be a piece of crap and broke much faster than my old unit, that lasted for over 20 years. It was there when we moved in, used it for 15 years and finally when it gave out, we decided to replace it with more economical one - 14 seer , which government give you a small rebate back. They encourage us to get economical, more eco friendly unit. I thought I will buy one that is made in USA.  

The owner of the Air Breeze,Leo Shany, who is affiliated with RUUD,  in the beginning was very friendly, soft spoken, that is , before he got his money, all paid in full.

But now, when we need him, he is very difficult to talk to or to deal with, he does not answer my calls , nor replied to my initial letter.  I spoke with his secretary - Anastasia on numerous occasions and she promised to get back to me. However, nobody did.  I got run around, I was sent to local distributor, who sent me directly to RHEEM inc.

I asked for investigation , why my unit failed so soon and for a refund of the service inadequately done and for the job that we paid for, that was unfinished. We paid $125 for a service call, he was supposed to fix the A/C and Heater unit , that he sold to us in the first place, the unit that was supposed to last for many years to come.

We made initial call to inform the owner, LEO,  that the central A/ C unit he installed for us is not working. It is a combo Air + Heater . We informed him right away that both HEATER AND A/C are not working at all.

This was his own recommendation, the model we spent almost $6000 unit , which was supposed to last for at least 15-20 yrs. Or for many years to come. He told us it's the best thing on the market, and we trusted him.

My old unit was working since we moved in and lasted for at least 20 years. Leo said it was garbage, RUUD is much better.   

This was more powerful than my previous one, and he told me it had copper piping that would last for a long time. So what happened ? I am very disappointed in this US product. I am sure Japanese company would do something about it.  A professional, who deals with these A/C units every day, should know which models are good and last longer. So I guess he must get some commussion or kick back from RUUD / RHEEM , since he advertised this model quite heavily and I was finally convinced. I'm no fool. I shopped around, I called 3-4 other companies and got estimates. Lior pushed for this particular model, 14 seer, more expensive than others, he convinced us that this is the one to go with, not the Sears, not American Standard, he stated RUUD is the best on the market today. Made in USA. What a disappointment. Perhaps he gets kick back from them.  

But now he washed his hands and says the warranty expired, we have to pay for a new one. He does not stand behind his product that he sells . You can't trust these guys, i'm telling you, folks, run away....

I was yelled at, he threatened to sue me, if I post a negative review.   I said , I'll wait for appropriate time and give you chance to resolve it , and I could not wait any longer. I also said - you cannot sue someone who is sharing his HONEST opinion on line and sharing his truthful  EXPERIENCE with this business.  

He could care less that the summer time is coming and my family is faced with coming very high temperatures, without A/C , it'll be a torture.

I wrote a letter, asked to either give us the money back for inadequate service or to help dealing with RUUD company  or  to move forward,  so that we can go on and hire a professional or come and fix it for free, since we already paid for the service. He refused to return the money and so did the company who sold him this unit. Please know, that same year I installed this unit, I recommended to my relative , who also bought same product from the same guy, who I recommended. I look like a fool now. Because his unit , RUUD product 14 seer A/C also broke and they charged him over $600 to fix. The warranty is limited and the company probably knows they go bad fast.

So learn from experience folkes and read everything here on this website.
