So I am not sure where to start.... We were approched by a Apex alarm door to door sales guy. We decided that at the time it was a good deal and thought that we would take advantage of the promotion that we were being offered boy were we wrong! We opted for the pre authorized payment from my chequing account which was fine for the first 2 mths, then after that all heck broke lose. Apex was bought out by SAI and for what ever reason SAI could not process our payments anymore, we then received a letter from SAI stating that because this was a Canadian account their system could not process the payment and would credit our account. Fine no big deal right... I then proceeded to contact the worst call centre I have ever dealt with and gave them a credit card number which was fine for a couple of payments and low and behold they had technical difficuties with the billing system again, We them received another letter stating that they would resolve the issue and credit the account once again and resume payments once they had resolved the issue. Not really being concerned about it I automatcally thought the payments resumed, but they did not. We received another letter approx 6 mth later starting off with "Let us start off by apologizing for our continued billing errors" We will once again credit your account for 5 mths. After this I cancelled my credit card and called SAI to send us a monthly statement and we would send a cheque in the mail. Well we never received a statement for 4 mths. I called every month asking for this statement and all I got was the run around from the most unhappy agents I have ever spoken with. I let them know that I needed the statements so I could send the cheque, oh I forgot to mention I did send a cheque and had it returned twice because apparentley no one that works there knows where they work... Agian the letter of apology. So in Dec of 2008 I received another letter stating we owed 125.00 and if we did not pay we would be sent to the lovely collection agancy for the reminder of our contract which was approx 650.00 (I have the letter but not infront of me) so anyway think about this for one moment in 2 yrs and 2 months we owe them 125.00 after all of the billing errors that they have taken credit for. Well just last week I got the pleasure of dealing with Anderson, Crenshaw and asso. I informed the agent of all the documentation I had and the contract etc and he had the nerve to tell me that the documentation I had from SAI was void and we owed them 1400.00 HAHAHAHA. The agent then said that it SAI'S billing errors were our fault, seriously buddy give your head a shake! I then asked him how it could be our fault and he proceeded to tell me it just was... good answer.

The agent then proceeded to inform me that we owed for the equipment and installation as well as the salesman commission and this was in the contract.Well I read the contact 3 times and had someone from our legal department read the contract and it does not state this at all.The funny thing is on the contract under the amount for the install and equipment is 0.00. He then proceeded to tell me that he would put a lein on our home and the best part of this story is the agent is not legally allowed to speak with me about this issue, but he did. We received a letter from the agency letting us know that we have 30days to dispute the amount and then this agent had the nerve to tell me that I could not dispute the amount. I frustrated the agent so much on 2 occasions that he hung up on me. I am not sure of the American standards for professionalism but I know that in Canada that it is completley unacceptable bahavior for any agent to treat someone that way, especially when they are trying to weasel 1400.00 out of a person. I sent a dispute letter a week ago resgistered mail and plan on fighting this to the end. I know how these things work as I work in a very large corporation that is national and under no circumstances would they operate a bussiness with the ignorace these 2 have displayed.

Dear Sir or Madam: I am writing to address some of the concerns you shared with ripoffreport.com. Anderson, Crenshaw and Associates is a separate entity than that of APX and SAI, so I am unable to address your concerns about their billing. However, I am in the Dispute Department of Anderson, Crenshaw and Associates, and am more than willing to address the concerns you have about both our representatives and any questions you may have regarding your account with us. First, if you mailed a dispute letter to our office, our dispute deparment is working on your account to get you the information you need. I encourage you to contact our department at 214-368-2980 and ask for either myself (Bethany) or Emily for an update on your account. Furthermore, all of our agents are required to participate in an extensive training program, teaching both professionalism and compliance with all applicable laws that affect our industry. Therefore, i respectfully refute your claim that you were told a dispute was not allowed and that you were treated rudely and unprofessionally. Anderson Crenshaw and Associates looks forward to working with you in the spirit of cooperation and looks forward to coming to an amicable resolution with you.
